So I just spent about an Hour looking at the fight I recorded earlier with my HD DVR on my 50" LCD. It was an amazing fight if you watch this **** slowly and with slow mo's Abner Mares has very good technique and is an Amazing Body puncher and controlled the whole fight.

-Abner Mares connected 3 shots under the belt line. One on the the leg, one on the balls KD SHOT, and one on the other leg close to Abgeko balls. I may be missing one so call it 4 because of camera angles, all other shots were clearly visible except the 1.
-All other shots were completely legal landing on the Belt line, and slightly over. They were closer to the top of the belt then below.
-Commentators did a great job in making us think there were much more low blows then really happened.
-Tarver says "He nearly hit his knee" to a body shot landed above of the belt.
-Mares deserved one point deduction for the KD shot as it was the only one landed on the balls, and looked intentional.
-Abgeko in the 6th round was looking to head butt Mares and he did for all the body punishment he was taking.
-Abgeko many times would lower Mares head down while Mares was going to the body, amazingly mares was still connecting on the belt line and above it..." Commentators made me believe they were lower"\
-Abgeko was pissed from the body shots and many times went for headbutts, accidental or not, he did and maybe that is where the intentional KD nut shot came from abner.

This was a very good fight if you minus the commentators, and give Mares the Point deduction in the 11th. Very close and good fight.. needs a rematch.

Tomorrow I will probably make a video of my findings with my HD camera so I can show every single punch landed on the body, and how stupid commentators were calling legit shots LOW blows...

    Good night.

Mares has very poor footwork and is pretty basic and also looked like he was starting to gas late in the fight.

I agree with this. I feel that was one of Showtimes worst commentary performances. Usually I agree with pretty much everything they say but in the first half of the fight they kept claiming low blows when there were a lot of belt-line shots.

Mares hit the hips a couple of times. Overall though it wasnt as dirty as Showtime would have you believe. They kept showing replays of fair body shots when they were trying to demonstrate evidence of Mares low blowing Agbeko.

The ref was **** and the knockdown should have been a point deduction for Mares.

    We need a rematch.

    very biased analysis here.
mares was hitting below the belt all night and the ref was horrible.
even my 4 yrs old could see that, dont blame showtime.Blame the ref ans mares...

Showing off about your tv much? Mares was hitting Agbeko with low blows constantly, he should've had points taken off in 4 rounds or just disqualified. He even hit him with a grazing left to the knee!

I've not had the chance to watch the fight yet, but judging by everyones comments and two different RBRs from last night, it's fair to assume your post here is full of bias, and not to be taken seriously.

This is one of the biggest disgraces i have ever seen. Showtime were actually quite lenient on the ref. There were several other low blows every round that were not being called.

This was ridiculous. No one seems to mention the fact that the blows would also affect Agbeko's legs and therefore the way he boxed.

Something needs to be done about this.

Mares was a dickhead as well for just not admitting to the fact that the blow in round 11 was low - "i thought it was fair" - yeah, of course you loser

So what you are trying to say is that, if you hit someones legs.. it's not a low blow? you have to hit the Balls? and I thought a low blow was a punch landed below the belt..

Maybe I need to rewatch a couple of fights now.. what if Golotha for exemple did hit Bowe's legs, and the punches wasn't landing directly on Bowe's nuts..

    This could re-write boxings history

The ******ed commentary team were calling low blows that weren't low blows. So what? Mares hit low a lot and got away with. Bad commentary is annoying. Bad refereeing is a disaster for the fight game.

Most of what Tarver said is ok.
