After rewatching the fight on hbo tonight

I re-watched the fight and I saw the same thing I saw when I watched it live. I saw victor getting in floyds ass then for some strange reason he headbutts void jr. victor says sorry even kisses the man and floyd pulled the pussiest move ever and hit a defenseless fighter twice.

 

Was it more ***** than the head butt to the mouth?

 

The ***** had it planned, he came up acted like he was going to embrace. Let victor take one step back with his hands down hit victor wth a clean left hook. Victor then looked at the ref like "what the ****"? then ***** jr. lands the hardest right hand that he ever threw in his life. The ***gots feet left the ground FFS. It was cheap and joe cortez did a shitty job, victor obviously thought the fight wasnt on because joe started talking to someone ringside!

if you really break it done to the core the refs ONLY mistake was not saying Box or fight LOUDLY so the time keeper started time, it is undeniable that both boxers knew the fight had restarted he said lets go and brought them to the middle which is more than acceptable in ANY fight. wether joe cortez was looking or not would have made ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE the fighters were told to fight and in my eyes both were aware. Mayweathers strategy was cheap ill give you that BUT its exactly the same as hopkins hugging after every good punch he lands its gay but valid and still a skill few can master

 

Asking respectfully, you're a good poster, but what would you have liked to see May do there? What your post implies to me is that you feel Floyd should have stood there until Victor finally felt he'd appologized and hugged enough.....even after the ref after telling Vic to his face "DON'T BE DOIN' THAT!!!", backed up a couple places...brought his hands together and said "let's go".

All the gif's around here need to start that little bit earlier, where when watching it it's clear they were told to go on.

I have a suspicion that part of the scene may have come from Floyd knowing this is VERY high profile and this dude kissing and hugging that much was gonna get embarrasing....esp. when looking at how much folk love to hate on Floyd anyways.
