Just watched the fight, I thought Pac won it 114-113 or it was a draw, but this is the kind of fight where there are no losers.

Pac slightly deserved the win bc he was the agressor out there, he was the one opening himself up first, initiating the contact, risking more, for at least 10 rds, and that deserves some credit on the scorecards in such an even fight.

What a fight!!!!!! one single round of this fight had more action than one of today's entire HW bout.

No credit should be given for someone opening up only to be countered silly. Don't be such a dodong.:bart

my unsolicited advice to jmm especially when fighting the elites is to press more, be more aggressive and initiate more of the action. his primarily counter-punching style will always lend to close, controversial fights against elite fighters and he will not always get the decision. he got the decision against barrera but unfortunately, not this time against pac.

no. i definitely didn't say that. i had it 114-113 for pac. but it easily could have been 114-113 either way since it was a very, very close fight. jmm should really try to avoid these very close, controversial fights since the decision will not always be favourable to him.

You're not a true boxing fan, if you dont sit down with pen and paper and score for who you thought was the winner of each and every round.

A round that is competitive can still mean a clear round for one fighter of the other.

I think thats what alot of people do, they watch the fight not scoring, and come to the conclusion that it was so competitive that either fighter could have won.

.....but score the fight with pen and paper each and every round, and the only conclusion that one can come up with is that Juan Manuel Marquez clearly deserved to win that fight!

The fight can only be scored one way if judged honestly, and thats too JMM!

There is absolutely no way to honestly decipher even a draw for Manny Pacquiao.
This was a straight out robbery!

man, now you're judging who the true boxing fan is on the basis of how he scored a bout either in favor or against your fighter. tsk..tsk..tsk... i'm sorry but i have lost all respect for you as a boxing fan. i'm not replying to any of posts from now on. :verysad

the knocked down clouded everyones judgement ... people still had it razor thin ...

true Pac fans are going to be fans ... thats the definition of a fan ... but when he falls ... let him fall gracefully ...

no one had Pac winning this fight convincingly and can't give any evidence in their opinion. The fact of the matter is that the Pac fans are happy that he skated with that victory more than anything.

You see there is no pac fan bold enough to say that he had it more than 1 point.

I rewatched it as well. One round I originally gave to JMM should have gone to Pac. That would have made it 114-113 for JMM. I agree with the thread-starter: anywhere from 115-112 JMM to 114-113 PAC. I think the edge is tilted towards JMM and ultimately think he deserved it, but I could see someone giving it narrowly to Pac as well. Great fight by two great fighters!

They will rematch, there will be a lot of pressure to have a great trilogy, and Pac & JMM will have a 3rd fight within a year.

NOBODY can deny, they are both class acts and warriors. Props to both guys!

Pac lost by a point IMHO...but damn thats 4 times hes laid JMM flat on his back..

2 fights too close to call

thats incredible for fighting someone whos style is a nightmare for you...

    Props to PAC for that

and props for JMM for showing the heart of the warrior. He came out hungrier in the 12th and I was honestly shocked

I like to see PAc move on to the lightweight get that title and then retire..he wont survive long for throwing 25 punches a round..hes done it to Solis, MAB, now JMM..its a bad trend

JMM meanwhile can still clean out the 130 division..hes a fresher fighter than PAC

Just because the scorecard is close doesn't mean their isn't a clear winner. Look at Morales Pac 1. 115-113 all cards... close but still clear as day who won that fight.

Have I not been saying for weeks that JMM would be the fighter with the better stamina????

There was alot of posters that ridiculed me for that!
