I think pound for pound also takes into consideration a boxers raw talent more than anything else because of a lack of head to head competition between it's occupants. Therefore, if Rigo beats someone like donaire while only having fought 11 professional fights it would pretty much solidify the fact that he's as skilled and talented as anyone currently fighting.
