Cotto, Quillin, Sergio, and not a single name more. It's just a weak ass division.

 

After Rubio, there's still Quillen and possibly Soliman. IMO, he can't move up until he has (at least) beaten Quillen. Of course, he can't force people to fight him but there must be a way to get this fight made.

Yes, I'm very serious. If his legacy is a concern at all, beating Rubio and Quillen will effectively answer any questions that may arise down the road regarding his "reign" @ 160.

 

No , if he is a middleweight naturally he doesn't need to move up if he had unified the middle tittle he might want to but surely he needs concentrate on being a great middleweight champion

The Middleweight Division was one of the most popular divisions in the past. There were so many classic World Champions over there such as Robinson, Graciano, Monzon, Hagler, Hopkins, and etc. GGG should do what those world champions have done before. Unify the world titles to become the Undisputed World MW Champion and stay in this Division as long as he could.

So, Golovkin doesn't need to move up in weight. IMO

 

Golovkin doesn't have to do anything but keep winning. Why search beyond your division for someone who might beat you when you can continue cleaning out the division you are in? There might be a time where it makes sense to go up. But it isn't now. Or any time soon IMO.

If Cotto decides to fight GGG and GGG beats him, he will become a PPV attraction. And also you have Canelo that will need to move up to MW soon. That's another $$ fight for GGG.

At SMW the big money fights are Froch, Ward and Chavez Jr. and of those three, two aren't interested in GGG (Froch and Chavez JR)
