I certainly do NOT under rate Rubio, and I did not under rate Lockett either (just didn't know **** about him, and that in itself can be scary (ask Khan who's Presscott?)).

BUT, I'm willing to bet all the money I spent on my tickets that Pavlik seeing his arena damn near sell out in less than 20 minutes lit a nice fire under his ass.:deal

Well that would be fun. For what I paid I'd like to see a KO some where between 7 and 10, not 3 knees and done.

But my friend, make no mistake Pavlik WILL prevail. Rubio is walkin into the damned lions den. He must have balls like a Hermit Squirrell.:deal

Have to say i felt cheated by the Gary Lockett fight i stayed up late I was hoping for a 5th/6th round KO.

I think his Loss to Bhop will have helped him improve as a fighter and I'll be looking forward to seeing him back in the ring

Valid points. The real problem is lack of quality opposition at 160. The ideal scenario would be a double header with Pavlik and Abraham both facing quality opposition. If you matched Pav with the winner of Williams/Wright, and put AA in the co-feature, who would you match him with . . . . it's slim pickin's at 160. That's the problem.

    Pavlik/Winky
    Abraham/Sturm

That would be a very good card, but I just don't see Sturm coming out of his cave for that one. Money would be an issue too. It's difficult financially to put 4 high dollar fighters on the same card.

Sturm saying he wants to fight Pavlik is considerably different than Sturm actually fighting him! Bloody Hell! There is a LONG list of guys who SAID they wanted to fight Kelly.

I honestly believe that if you left this up to Kelly and Arthur, they'd get it done in short order. However, we're dealing with two promoters and 3 sanctioning bodies, plus HBO, or whatever network buys the fight:patsch

It does appear that Abraham has been overlooked.

Sturm seemed to snub such a fight, and now I'm hearing Pavlik is going for Sturm.

    Easier fight for Pavlik.

Also, Abraham looks dead at 160 to me. My feeling is his destiny is at super middle, especially after what he did to Miranda.

Actually, Strum contacted Pavlik. I think it is because Mundine was made his mandatory. Now he knows he has to fight somebody with a pulse. I still think he should have taken the $ offered by AA though. Probably much more lucrative.

It should be a consideration if he wants to fight him.

And, given the lack of other relevant fights in the extremely weak MW division, I think he should want to fight him.

Pavlik-Rubio should look almost exactly like Pavlik-Zertuche or Pavlik-Zuniga. He's fought this caliber of fighter with this style many times before, and he should be able to get a late rounds TKO.
