After seeing Abraham last night... this man is SO beatable.

I just have the feeling that Abraham might be the new Calzaghe: He lives in Europe and the hate on him on ESB is already building up

 

Let him hate, he'll appreciate AA one day lol...

 

That's what kind of fighter Marquez is.. A come forward pressure fighter.. You can't just expect him to change his whole style for a fight..

 

I'm none to crazy about Calzaghe, but Abraham is one of my favorite boxers..

 

Pavlik took about 20 bombs straight on the chin from Jerman Taylor and got battered by Hopkins and didn't even move.

To be fair, AA took two massive swings that my gran could have stepped away from. No decent fighter would have eaten those shots, and even Pavlik would have dodged them. So really he's not really any more powerful.

 

I agree that he is beatable, but there aren't really many people in his division with the ability to do it.

 

Yes -- Marquez is a come forward pressure fighter, and Bronco McKart counter punched the **** out of him earlier this year!. Anyone who is hyping AA for this win needs to start following boxing!

 

I think he is far from easily beatable. However, I think he is too tough and brave for his own good; in the long-term, he will pay for it. Take his fight against Marquez. He could have finished it quite a few times, even at the end of the first round, but chose not to. Instread, he let Marquez give his best shot, for the next couple of rounds. Marquez hurt him quite a few times with blows below the belt line, and with blows to the ribs, and still, Abraham let him have a go, instead of closing the show. All this unnecessary punishment will take its toll on Abraham, with injuries building up, etc. He should change his game-plan, I think.

 

No AA could not finish him early or he would have. And Marquez did get in a few good hits....and AA was told to get Marquez's respect early and take him out of his game plan. Marquez fought well for 6 rounds...not great, but he was trying and doing better than some others...He quit in the right time, in the next round, that cut would open and he'd get a bit of blood in his eye, either getting KO'ed in that round or beaten up enough that in the round after it would be all over..

And this thing about AA not having any stamina and gassing after 6 rounds, is purest BS. He normally does little in the first two rounds, and after 6 he's applying much more pressure...so I guess from some one's view...don't know how many fights of AA he's seen.
But it's the other guy who gets KO'ed. And yep towards the end of fights he's ahead on points and that is so far all, he revets to show boating. Throwing one bomb....then waiting to throw another bomb...knowing if and when he gets a bomb in it's KO time....now that is arrogarance...

but he can fight other wise...vs Harmond? (a good Aussie) I think...his first real fight....the first one he needed to have a defence and had some....since then he's got much more, and can fight going backwards...something he could not do young.

And no I think the Strum fight will be a real hard fight...one forgets how good a jab and good Strum Winkies. 10 -11 if it goes KO, but his team will try to cut him a good plan.

I haven't seen Pavlik so I can't comment. I do try to have seen recient work of a fighter before sticking my foot in my mouth.
