It got me to thinking. There's no shame in a professional fighter working hard, and losing a fight especially when he showed the heart that Briggs did. But with that said.

Briggs was completely beat up, battered, and dominated by another man. Vitali clearly established himself as the alpha male over Briggs. I'm sure Briggs' wife thought he was a big. bad , mofo, and yet he got destroyed, and hospitalized right before her eyesr. What does that do to man's pride when he gets dominated like that in front of his family, and the woman who thinks he's her big strong protector?

theres always going to be someone tougher and better out there, no one's superman.

Briggs is still a fkin dangerous man, he could kill the average man in a real fight.

do u think Briggs is meant to be superman to his wife?

Dah, it doesn't say much really. I understand what your saying though...For regular people like us...For us to lose in a fight, or get beat infront of your family, etc would be a huge thing. BUT we are not pro boxers either.
I'm sure they, and there family realize the potential risks, and know that one man loses...The other one wins. WHenever your in a sport where you get punched, or punch back **** can happen. Regardless Briggs is a big *******, took a huge beating, and on the street there aren't to many Vitali Klitshkos walking around looking for fights. You got Joe Blow, and his buddy Fatty McFatersen who just got done drinking a 12 pack, eating a bag of cheetos, and thinking there tough ****. Briggs, and his family have nothing to worry about. I'm not half the size of Briggs, and I got no problems with those guys..Those guys haven't seen a punching bag in there lives, or even picked up a weight.

I heard it was only 500,000 which ceratinly isn't bad. But after medical expenses, it certainly isn't anywhere near set for life money.

Fighters are used to taking punishment even if extreme-minus brain injuries. What fans see on the outside as serious injuries, fighters...if they haven't suffered any brain injury heal very fast, and get over the pain. Cuts on a boxer take longer to heal than broken jaws...

Definitely not enough to be set for life, especially if you live like most boxers do.. but 500k is not bad for someone who has only fought cans in the last few years. At the same time, I wouldn't take that beating for $5M.

For $5m? I ****ing would. Twice on Sundays too.

Even for half a million, my wife would be shoving me back out there at the start of the rounds herself.....

Dude boxers get beatings all the time in the gym...even the good ones. And majority wont even earn any decent money out the sport. They should be respected tho.

It all depends on the woman. If she's smart she'll see it as Briggs being a pro athlete who went out there, win or lose, to earn himself a paycheck to support himself and his family. If she's classless and moronic she'll expect him to win at all times. You have to realize women don't get with you because you have the ability to protect them. A friend of mine has a disability and he gets more girls than me. Besides I tend to think girls like it when guys get hurt. Consolation sex is awesome.
