After Shannon Briggs deals with Haye should Haye go back down to cruiserweight

Cruiserweight is as hard as Heavyweight to conquer so good luck. Less money down there too.

 

If old ass Briggs beats Haye that will be one of the most fulfilling moments of my boxing watching career

 

Well....crazier things have happened for sure, but unless Haye allows Briggs a TRT exemption, the BBBOC won't sanction the fight, and TBA, AKA Sasha Dimitrenko will be getting his 200k cashout fight.

As for Briggs chance of winning...

Let's have a look at the h2h mythic matchup along with fights that have actually happened.

Foreman was being destroyed by Moorer before the punch of the century.
Briggs got a gift vs a much slower weaker legged Foreman yrs later.

David Haye, used to fight very tentatively against taller opponents, but has never shown fear vs fighters of similar size, and with the extra 15 lbs on him, his 6/3 frame, I'd imagine that no version of moorer survives 5, and while Foreman from 87-95 would certainly last 12, he couldn't win a decision from even the most tentative version of Haye.

Briggs in all likelihood won't land a single shot on Haye. I know it's cool to hate the guy but he is an A level elite boxer that simply chooses the easier way.
