    In reading old Ring Magazine and newspaper articles, I also noticed that they got a lot of complaints for going through the motions in the ring and not being active and aggressive enough. That seemed to really bother some of the guys who were used to seeing heavyweights trying to knock each other’s heads off.

    No, no, don't worry, I get what you're saying. Yep, I can see your point. I do think that the loss of those smaller Quarry-size heavyweights has changed the division and with the supersized heavyweights like Lewis, Bowe and the Klitschkos having had the success in the 90s and 00s, that era of smaller heavyweights is gone as they are all going to either make sure they make 200 pounds at cruiser or bloat themselves to compete at 230+ up at heavyweight, you're right.

    I actually thought that the Cruiserweight division was the one new division in boxing which made sense but that was as a result of heavyweights getting bigger over the last two decades or so. I hadn't really considered that the two things were directly connected - interesting.
