Right now having been strongly Joshua before I think it's a 50/50 fight. Yeah Joshua is the better boxer but last night showed he can be got too and stopped and now he's shown a complacent nature and we don't know if he has what it takes to throw off the trappings of wealth and fame and be the fighter he can be. Wilder is a joke to many, I have often poked fun at him but he's never been complacent like Joshua was last night, even when showing up to fight nobodies he's always shown up mentally focused. I mean would Wilder have ever lost to Ruiz Jr, I don't think so, he would of kept it long, been patient and landed the big right hand eventually to get the KO. Joshua in contrast has shown he can be distracted and fight the wrong fight and get upset because of it. That lack of focus even for a second is all that a fighter like Wilder needs to capitalise and land a KO punch. We need to see how Joshua does in the rematch with Andy, is he a Lewis and can he refocus and fight the right game plan or is he a Hamed spoiled by the fame and wealth and can no longer be that focused.
Styles make the fight. For me, nothing has changed. AJ vs Wilder it's still intrigue. And it is also very important where exactly this fight can take place.
Lol at some of the AJ fangirls, they will never give Wilder his dues. When Wilder ko's Ruiz the same way he ko's Brazeale, they will make excuses that Ruiz was a bum
I can promise you one thing- if Wilder hurt AJ like Ruiz did in round 3, he wouldn't let his foot off the gas like Andy did in round 4. I've seen Deontay drop guys where he didn't even nail them cleanly through their guard. If he's able to land flush on AJ, he's not going to get up. Joshua definitely has the power to hurt Deontay, but I'd favor Wilder to give him the business since he commits a lot more to his punches and has that kill or be killed mentality. Joshua has no head movement. He's not going to magically become a defensive fighter. I'd favor Wilder in a fun fight for however long it lasts.
