I don't know, he needs a rematch. Not because he won or because he was competitive. But because as much as I can't stand his fans at times, or the biased media he gets, I think he owed his fans a better effort than that. He owes his legacy and his country a better effort than that.
    Just my two cents.

Couldn't agree more. Glad I'm not the only one thinking they need a rematch.

I agree with you both. I think we all agree Pacquiao can do better than that p*** poor performance, and if it's true he couldn't use his right hand effectively, then he deserves the chance. There's still no one else more deserving IF this excuse turns out to be true.

The fight didn't warrant one. At all. I just think he needs to put forth a better effort than that. Looking back, as the gfight ages, it's going to appear worse and worse to be honest. I think he should pursue a rematch, and he'd obviously have to settle for a flat fee. No way the second greatest fighter of an era should go out like that.

Why should there be a rematch? So that Manny can do better hopefully?

There are so many moving parts in making a boxing match, the reality is that any drama that could have come in the fight was built up for 5 years, and effectively resolved in the ring. There is no question Mayweather is better, no amount of spin in the world can trick people into thinking Pacquiao ACTUALLY won. The idea that he should get a rematch so that he can TRY TO DO BETTER FOR HIS COUNTRY is insane ramblings from a cracked fanbase

Haha! Mayweather is going to ask for 90/10 split and Manny needs to accept it warmly because Mayweather doesn't owe him a single thing anymore.

It should at least be an 80-20 split the next time around, the fight wasn't even remotely competitive.

i think vada should be in place in the rematch or pac should get the lion;s share.

without vada, people will look at it as another farce of a fight and no one will buy.

pac should get the bigger share to compensate for lost of income if floyd insist he is the only who can juice with only usada on.

Oh yeah of course. I don't think he should get a rematch based on the scores or performance, you're right, it doesn't warrant one. But to go out like that as one of the best...

I doubt the excuse is true, especially when you consider those flurries he threw. No one is throwing combos like that with a tear in their shoulder. i just think he was overwhelmed with skill. I just think he's capable of a bit more

Perhaps Floyd will give Manny that respect. Say what you want about both of them, but the respect they had for each other was undeniable. I remember entering the 11th round, they hugged each other and Manny told Floyd, "Thank you," again. Then, after the fight, to see two men who were cast out to hate each other for so long, embracing each other like that... it's the best thing in the world. To two see two guys I love so much show that kind of respect for each other, it brought tears to my eyes!

I remember before the decisions were called, they went over to each other again and Floyd just was giving him the biggest, genuine smile and even was joking with him about his or Manny's defense, something that happened in the fight. I'm not sure what. Laughing, smiling, embracing.

It's amazing isn't it? Two guys who were so awkward with each other up to the fight, made to hate each other by the media, and they seemed like friends after. You'd never think you'd see it, and I think Mayweather just truly, genuinely has a great respect for Pacquiao.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gave Manny a rematch.
