After the Fury loss I am certain Wlad will not be regarded as favourably in 20 years

A lot of people had Wlad in the top 10 HW ATGs, among the best H2H fighters ever, huge KO%, good resume for what the era offered and so forth. Every non-casual should know why Wlad was regarded highly 2005-2015 so there's no point listing everything. However, I think the general concensus in 2035 will not be as favourable. People will realize that he lost basically to the first tall skilled guy he faced and in lop-sided fashion at that. Some may claim he was over the hill but one year earlier people saw a vicious Wlad against Pulev. He may have not been prime at 39 but he wasn't terrible shot yet and got outpointed thoroghly and would probably lose that match up at any point in his career.

The era was regarded as pretty subpar and I doubt that impression will change when people look back in 20 years.

And I'm not saying he is a fraud or anything but I feel like the Top 10 HW or H2H ATG rubbish are gonna be off the table very fast. No need to wait 20 years for that probably.

I've never been a Wlad fan, but after the Haye and Povetkin fights I finally gave him his dues and had him ranked well within my top ten.

After the Fury performance, that's all gone out of the window.

Wladmirs 'defence' of his belts vs Fury was one of the worst defences I hav ever seen. Itbelongs in the same ballpark as Tyson/Seldon and Tyson/Bruno.

Wladmir may as well have just given the belts to Fury.

Povetkin, Haye and Pulev were excellent wins. This era offered hardly anything better than that but honestly that didn't warrant a top 10 HW spot.

He had dominance, longevity, a decent resume, no great wins but a good collection of very good wins.

His effort in the Fury fight left a sour taste.

Because all those rumours about Klitscko using his size advantage over his opponents came true when he fought someone much bigger than him.

The difference was Ali was physically shot.

Ali was further past it than Wlad was when he fought Foreman. Complete Fail.

Almost the same age and still unified champion, point still stands. Objective historians will still view Wlad as a great and dominant champion down the line, one loss won't change that. Objectivity is something you guys(Dinovelvet especially) lack. One loss 20 years into your career doesn't completely ruin your legacy... That stands for any fighter.

Against Berbick yeah, but he was still champion and beat Shavers only a few months prior to losing to Spinks.

What other boxer in the top 10 ATG list fought a skilled 6'9" 260 lb fighter?

He was battered to bits vs Shavers:roll:

    Still won though. Unlike Wlad.

And you really don't have a clue what you are blabbering about.

Ali fought around 10 HWs , if not more , who are ranked as the greatest of all time.

Wlad fought - ZERO. Wins and names matter. Historians will view Wlad runs like the Zolst and Mickelcheski's of the world.

Without a shadow of the doubt. He was sharp and agile vs Fury. If he was shot he would have gotten stopped.

Being in good condition saved him from a KO loss.
