After the Fury loss I am certain Wlad will not be regarded as favourably in 20 years

Wlad, when he was fast, was a walking knockout waiting to happen. He only became 'good' when he picked shorter guys, and changed his style so the cherry picked opponents couldn't get past his jab. When he came up against someone as big as him, who wasn't intimidated, he was found out.

Yup like Holmes and Berbick weren't intimidated by Ali and handed him a beating. Then everyone knew how ordinary Ali was

Yep, exposed at 39 after a ten year run at the top.

    Idiot.

Sam Peter most certainly was the favourite going in to that fight. I bet on it.

Correct, Peter was the betting favorite across the board.

I think it was the second Tony Thompson fight when you could donate money to charity and your name would be on Wladimirs trunks or robe. I wish he would do that again or the Fury rematch so I could donate money in Dinovelvets name .

Agree with pretty much all of this. Wlad just didn't try hard enough to retain the titles when the fight was clearly in doubt.
That's the most damning thing at all...I can't think of a so-called great who put up a more limp-wristed and tame performance in trying to retain his titles.

However, should he regain the titles, then talk of all-time great status has merit. But another loss, especially if it is an insipid performance as the last one was...and for me that's that.
