 Pimple's really up in arms about this thread. :aplastao: Sorry that Pacman's still fighting (and winning) at the highest levels at 40 and that Ali got whooped by Leon Spinks at 36 :D

All irrelevant when talking about greatness. The man isn't greater than Ali no shame in it but how many boxers were? Maybe SRR Armstrong Langford Greb??? The guy has too many bad loses to be considered in Ali's class. If he had only that one early loss and lost to PBF then he might have a case for being a top 15 ATG but he didn't. He has loses and bad ones at that those can't be just written off because you don't like it. They count to and are apart of the equation when discussing greatness.

Pac still has Jeff Horn problems and he's still active.:deal: So what's the problem? Pac don't want that smoke?

Comparing Pac to Ali and saying he's greater is down right disrespectful not in the same class if you don't like it too bad. It's the truth. I'm going to stop this **** right here right now.

Ray Robinson has 19 losses. Pacquiao has losses early in his career. And lost once in his prime too just like Ray Robinson lost once in his prime too.

So I don't agree that Pacquiao has too many losses to be a top 15 ATG.

SRR fought in era where you damn near fought 2 or 3 times a month sometimes more. He didn't fight 2 or 3 times a year like these fighters do now. Horrible comparison. If Pac fought in that era he'd have more loses than SRR as well.

Maybe, but Pacquiao would fight constantly as well while malnourished. It's amazing he only had 2 losses at Flyweight because he had only been boxing for 2 years before turning pro and he didn't have any proper food to eat.

    Ali never rematched Holmes ...
    :fufu
Pacquiao has had a hell of a career in more competitive weightclasses than Ali. I have no problem whatsoever with somebody making the argument that he's greater than Ali. Because, actually, P4P, Ali doesn't rank that high :deal:

While the win over Thurman is a good win for PAC, some of you guys are going a bit overboard here?

Ali was in early Parkinsons when he fought Holmes are you serious? Also Pac is still active and can very well rematch Horn who Crawford made quick work of. He needs to avenge his loss to Horn in Australia before targeting anyone else.

No his career isn't as good as Ali's his wins aren't as good and he had horrible loses that Ali didn't have.
    Ali>Pac period

A fight Pac was favored to win as well. It's not like he was a big underdog in that fight. With that said that win doesn't make him > Ali. Where was all this talk before Pac fought Thurman? Makes you wonder

A malnourished teen with virtually no boxing background entering the pro ranks at 16 gets ktfo and you hold that against him? lol.

Come on now, Pac is a true G. The guy comes from absolute poverty, no food stamps or any of that ****, I mean absolute poverty. Enters the pro ranks with minimal boxing experience. Puts stones on his pockets JUST to make the weight. Lies about his age just to meet the 18 year old criteria. Guy didn't care about any of it, just wanted to fight.

You tell anyone, even him, that one day he would be an 8 division champ across 10 and scare the **** out of Floyd to the point that Floyd will cry about juicing for 5 years all the whilst sticking IV needles to get all kinds of peds down his system, then fight the fight on 5th gear running, hiding, hugging, bending below the waist and basically fighting scared, confirmed by his daddy and trainer and nobody would have believed it.

    What a story. What greatness.

Ali and Floyd were Olympic proteges. They were spoilt boxing royalties that had it extremely easy and had the best start in life to becoming a champ. Ali took on all comers. Floyd a very well manufactured one.

How many fights did Robinson have at the end of his career and how many fights did he have when he got his second defeat? Comparing Pac to Robinson is an insult to Robinson.

Look Pac is an ATG I'll never take that away from him but he's not in Ali's class. For some reason when people like me give posters like you a sobering dose of reality they get mad and instead of just saying he's not, which is the rational thing to do, they try and push back and say he is which is ridiculous. What's next Pac > SRR? Because he beat Lipinets a guy who he was favored to beat.

the things is pimp c. Its only because Ali was a heavy that hes rated so high, obviously a great great fighter. The lower weight classes hold more talent and far more skills. you have to beat better fighters.
id say lw-mw have held the best fighters. lighter fighters are multi dimensional.
