Just watched it. Amazing, simply amazing, really insightful. The way they just turned around with the spin on amateur boxing being a sport and pro boxing being a statement, I mean that just hit me from left field, didn't see it coming at all. The actual bulk of the documentary though, absolutely harrowing. Thanks a lot Thread Stealer. And yeah, props to Hhascup.
Henry, on the bottom photo you look as if you're describing how huge your **** is! (no homo) on a serious note, that documentary is amazing, moving, insightful, and difficult to take too, harrowing at times. Great documentary, one of the best I've ever seen in my life.
Really varied set of opinions on there. Heartwrenching, and at the same time common-sensical. It seems that the argument might be continued better in a world were fighters were more closely watched and tested for licensing, and in a far-off world were the hard economics of making a living didn't dictate a fighter's choices, and developing the willingness to engage the sport became more of a freely decided option.
Henry, Not trying to start an argument but why was Eugenia Williams inducted into the NJ boxing hall this year? She's the author of the worst scorecard in heavyweight title history.
