is james degale the last hope for frank warren to get a load of money, He has all the Potential to be the next big thing but he really is the only cash cow out there for warren now. What do u think will happen now with DeGale's career?

Degale will get a lot of money to turn pro, get a few wins and maybe even a British title but will ultimately fail to make the transition to the pros.

Its far too early to be sure but thats what my money would be on at the moment.

james DeGale might learn from Khans mistake and stay an amateur for a while

Don't bet on it, Degale will turn pro.

At least Khan has earned well from all this, what if he'd have stayed in the ams and gotten KO'd in the 2008 Olympics? He'd be turning pro and not earning megabucks.

Warren's next hope was on the very bottom of the undercard tonight,
    Stephen Smith.

It was a big surprise when he didn't make the Olympics and now he's turned pro and stopped two guys that rarely get stopped and he did it in 4 rounders.

He was a very good amateur with plenty of experience there before moving to the pro game and I think he's a serious prospect.

Enzo Maccarinelli, Nicky Cook, Gavin Rees, Kell Brook, Matthew Macklin, Audley Harrison, Kevin Mitchell, Alex Arthur, Amir Khan, Bradley Pryce, Anthony Small, Michael Jennings, Paul Smith, Nathan Cleverly, Matthew Marsh, Kenny Anderson(another great prospect), Jamie Cox, Matthew Hall, Derek Chisora, Steven Bell, Martin Concepion, Tony Bellew, Anthony Crolla, Denton Vassell, Don Broadhurst, Thomas Costello, Vinny Mitchell, Walsh brothers, plus another 10 or so prospects.

With Warren he's trying to make sure of safety with numbers. There's no real star quality there anymore. Nicky Cook is his only World champion, and because of that one of his best prospect(Kevin Mitchell) mightn't become a World champion for a while. Even though Mitchell could beat Cassius Baloyi, Warren can't risk another man of his losing.

Fortunately for him Enzo should beat Jonathon Banks and he'll regain a title holder but his grip on British boxing is slipping. There's is one thing consistant with all empires, none of them last forever.

I know Smith is a common name, but is he related to Paul Smith?

I always thought Frank Warrens best hope was Kevin Mitchell, exciting style, good looks, and most importantly a solid chin. Mitchell could do with a better defence though.

    naa He will turn Pro

james DeGale must be the only british fighter left who can still be built up through media hype which is exactly what warren is looking for
    it makes perfect sense

didnt he already offer him a million or somet for him to turn pro it makes great sense for both warren and degale

i'm not so sure. i know banks looked **** in his last fight, but if macca is going to fight him first time out since the haye loss, it could go seriosuly wrong.

I think Kevin Mitchell is Warren's best hope - I know he copped a bit for fighting too many bums, but at least he has learned about fighting different kinds of fighters, and for me passed a big acid test in beating Carl Johanneson (espec coming back from the brink to do so).

ahh kevin mitchell he has a good record but to the common fan who reads the paper, he dont have the popularity of winning a gold medal for your country, and all the media hype surrounding him
