Or, maybe he should just retire. When he beat Dubois, it was a bogus, weightless mandatory fight forced on him. Everyone wanted to see Fury, and Hrgovic, as IBF mandatory, made a better fight.

Now, that Dubois has beaten Miller and Hrgovic, he is the IBF interum guy and inarguably the 3-5 best challenger in the world. What is more, he knocked Hrgovic out of the running.

Usyk preemptively beat one of his top 5 challengers, and has now beaten 3 of his top 5.

Only guy with any kind of championship credentials left is Parker. I like Kabayel but it's not a big fight and he would be better off going after a vacant belt. Some folks will want Zhang, but he is a win some, lose some, three round fighter.

Who else is even in the running, now?

Let's make the Parker fight after Fury!

i don't disagree. However, Kabayel may go onto have a lot of success in the future. So Usyk beating Kabayel and Kabayel then going on to attain more success will certainly enhance Usyk's legacy.

    Usyk Fury rematch
    Usyk Parker
Usyk Kabayel if Usyk wants another fight. Or he could just retire.

I agree that Kabayel would be a decent resume addition right now, but I don't see the impetus for it. He's not mandatory or anything...there is no big money...he doesn't have a big fan base calling for it...

Maybe if he wants a third fight!

Yes. Parker is the right man since he has earned it. However, if they rematch Parker with Joshua, it could be another snooze fest where Anthony just boxes him from a distance and wins a decision. I do not want to see Joshua-Usyk 3. If Joshua beats Parker, then Usyk is better of fighting Kabayel.

And Kabayel at some point if he continues to win. I'd love to see Anderson-Kabayel next.

If Usyk beats Fury then fights Dubois his 6 HW title fights would be 3 sets of rematches. That feels really odd. And then if Usyk beats Dubois he'd presumably do the AJ trilogy if he doesn't retire. What an odd situation.

Usyk v Dubois II is a better fight than Usyk v Parker but at least Parkers someone different. But Dubois has the belt and I don't see Usyk splitting the belt after he made that whole stink about keeping it.

It just occurred to me that I should put the option in the poll for a Dubois rematch!

No need for a Dubois rematch. The only way that makes sense is if Dubois can beat Joshua and maybe one other fighter. No thanks.

Parker can give Usyk a better fight than Dubois. Let's not get carried away here - big heavies do not match that well vs Usyk. A guy with the overall skill of Parker can at least make it competitive. Even the most skilled big men in the game could only win 4 rounds vs Usyk. Unless Usyk drastically slows down, Dubois can't do anything to him in a rematch. Usyk is way too good. Way too fast.

You guys actually think Fury is gonna show up for the rematch? Lol

Usyk should just fight Parker and add another champion to his scalp collection.

Kabayel is very solid, but he is nowhere near as proven as Jo Parker.

Or Usyk could just retire. He's a legend anyway.

I actually don't, but it is scheduled as of now, so we can labor under that assumption even if Fury is wandering the streets drunk and coked out of his mind, kicking taxi cabs and unintelligibly soliciting hookers with fistfulls of cash, even as we speak.

Parker has zero chance against Usyk. He can rematch Fury then retire.

Due to Usyk's age, it almost surely won't happen, but I'd like to see him fight four more fights: a Fury rematch, Zhang, Parker, and Kabayel. If he did that successfully, he would have cleaned out the division in terms of top contenders. Wilder is done, Ruiz is irrelevant at this point, and even before last night, I already thought that Hrgovic has always been overrated, but now Dubois proved it. So beating Zhang, Parker, and Kabayel, with two wins over Joshua and Fury respectively, would mean a clean sweep of the division, which would elevate him to ATG territory in heavyweight as well.

But once again, it will never happen. Realistically, it's one more fight against Fury, then retirement, or maybe one more after that, so no more than two more professional fights left in him.
