After 10 fights in Super Super Six spreaded in two years nothing major has been clearified in SMW. More than that, even after the final we`ll need supplementary fight or fights to establish the reality.

The only clarifications made by the tournament are that Kessler and Abraham are not the best, the last not being even Top 5.

With three withdraws, all from medical reasons, and two new entries, the semifinals were not what what they supposed to be.

So, the signing of a contract between Showtime and Bute was the recognizing of the big error that was to not invite him in the touney.

So, we have four major fighters Ward, Froch, Kessler and Bute anf from now start the ranking problems.

Kessler`s promoter refused Bute`s one offer of 3 mil and probably rights for TV in Denmark from SHO when we all were hoping we`d have the real SMW semifinals. So the Romanian will fight a reprofiled Pavlik for 168 if the last wins in august.Clarifications for the top of this division:almost zero if Bute wins, most expecting this to happen.

Let`s see the final. If Ward wins noone with brain will crown him undisputed champion untill a fight with the probably undefeated Bute. But if Foch wins the problems are even bigger.Froch was defeated by Kessler and the last one lost to Ward.So we woud have just a No. 1 and not an undisputed champion in any situation and the necessity of supplementary fights for ranking from 2 to 4 wich is good for boxing.

I partly agree but the Super 6 did clarify that Andre Ward is a top 2 smw if not the best smw. If it werent for the super 6 he would still probably be considered a prospect.

it was ****ed up from day 1, every boxer has to travel apart from one who gets to fight in his home-state, nevermind country, every single time. Even the final might be going to California now after being told two weeks ago it would be AC. Even AC isnt neutral territory as americans are calling it. May as well have it in London, surely thats neutral if AC is neutral.

I think Carl Froch has come through it with a raised profile and the respect of most boxing fans.

Not to mention a few very questionable "home-town" decisions.

At least the tourny exposed Direll as the biatch he is, and gave Glen Johnson a last-hurrah, end-of-career respect boost. (who didn't love that?)

It clarified Ward/Froch/Kessler as the three best at 168.

Not quite sure how it hasnt clarified anything. The winner will be a clear number 1 in the division, and the loser probably number 2. I said it before, Bute shouldnt even be given a shot at the winner right away. He has done nothing to prove he can mix it with the best of em. He is a good talent no doubt, but before he fights Ward-Froch (who will be a CLEAR #1 at SMW) he should fight Kessler, Dirrell, or even a Johnson. I understand the Pavlik fight looks like its close which will be a good stepping stone. But whoever wins the tournament -probably Ward but i hope I'm wrong - will have the best resume in the division by far.

I agree with this part. Froch, since he won the WBC against Pascal, has defended his title against Taylor in the states, won against Dirrell at home, then has had to travel to Finland, the US, and then maybe California, whereas Ward hasnt fought outside of his home country.

It's also done wonders for Froch. Most saw him as a fighter in Calzaghe's shadow. Now he is on the cusp of greatness should he pull off an unlikely win

Exactly, I already rate him as a better fighter than Calzaghe. That wasnt the case before the super six.

It clarified that Ward and Dirrell are the most talented fighters at Supermiddleweight.

That Arthur Abraham was a hype job.

That Mikkel Kessler was a hype job.

That rabbit punching and body slamming is legal in Britain.

Proved Abraham was very good at 160, was too small and one dementional at 168.
Reach and height is so very important.

The Super 6 was one big disaster. Heralded as a big gift to boxing fans it has produced few exciting fights (Froch vs. Kessler being the one highlight) and many disappointments.

The only good thing is that this sham will soon be over and then we can go back to the old ways, as bad as they may be it's still better than the S 6 chaos.

It showed us that showtime are desperate for an American to win it

It showed us Ward is a cheat and a blouse

It showed us Froch is as rock as rock can be

It gave us some good fights

    It exposed Abraham

I've enjoyed it so far , all we need is a fair final , which we wont get so it's down to Froch to overcome the bias.

For all his talent and hype Bute hasnt done **** compared to any of the Super 6 why should he be used as a measuring stick or even called a top 3 168lber when he hasnt fought a Super 6 fighter. Just because Kessler didnt agree to Butes offer doesnt mean hes ducking. You cant accept every offer thrown at you thats logical. Kessler has nothing to prove Bute has alot to prove. Would of preferred Bute vs Johnson if Bute vs Kessler couldnt be made. Kessler like Bute is a big star in his homeland so big stars usually make big demands. Johnson isnt the big demand type hed take a fight with anyone anytime. Ward is the unexpected leader of the Super 6 and favorite to beat any 168lber on the planet. Froch has an unbreakable will and if taken lightly he can beat any 168lber including War
