I cant understand people saying it's a disaster. We have seen some good fights, with the best in the world fighting the best in the world. It's what boxing should be about.

Totally it took three years to make the Haye v Wlad fight ( ok it was pish but....) were still waiting for Pac v May.

even with the pullouts I think its been good for boxing.

if we can get a final NOT in Wards mums kitchen then i think its been a success.

    :patsch:patsch:patsch

So it's clarified headbutts and elbows are allowed in America?

It's clarified all Americans are quitters when they know they're getting knocked out?

Dont make me laugh. Kessler is FAR from a hype job! Most Americans called him a Eurobum when Joey C beat him, but considered him #1 in the division when Ward beat him!!!

It's proved that Abraham was too small for SMW, thats all

the question is though, without the 'fight only in jokeland' clause would ward really be the other finalist, we really dont know, its an easy fight at home, home fans, home ref and home judges with HBO covering your arse.

It showed us that showtime will do anything to protect american level hypejobs.

It showed us that Carl Froch is a world class warrior who has earned the respect of all true boxing fans worldwide.

It showed us that andre direll has 'michigan cowardice' running through his yellow veins

When Calzaghe beat Kessler, he was an overhyped Eurobum. When Ward beat him, he was the legitimate #1 in the division. Funny

I think he would have without question. He dominated Kessler and wasnt blatent with his fouling (BHop also mastered this), and he has dominated AA and Allen Green as well. No1 has come close to beating him. I would have liked to have seen him travel tho. My man Froch (no homo) has travelled like mad. It's a little unfair, but the way things are. Plus it provides u froch fans with an excuse should he lose

It clarified that Kessler was a European hype job who beat a bunch of B level contenders, and was promptly schooled by a prospect.
Actually it shows that the former tourney favorite Arthur Abraham needed to hit a defenseless fighter when he is down, because he was getting schooled badly.

Most Americans acknowledged Kessler as the best fighter at 168. Ward beat Kessler, EASILY I might add, and that means Ward is the best fighter at 168. Disagree?

Abraham was shown to be no SMW

Green , an exciting banger but B level on his best day

Kessler was the only top fighter beaten and he got to foul him with impunity all night.

Its ok though cheating of all sorts is perfectly acceptable so long as you profess to be a christian. Look at Holyfield !

the highlighted area is exactly why the tournament was a great idea. as soon as fights are being negotiated outside the tournament format they fall apart. when its left just to promotional teams to sort it out they get greedy.

just think of it this way.... without the tournament we wouldn't of had half the fights we had. boxings about fights and if the tournament brought us more quality fights then im a fan.

Lets look at what MOST Everyone thought the final Super Six rankings would end up

    1. Kessler
    2. Abraham
    3. Froch
    4. Jermaine Taylor

    ---------

    5. Ward
    6. Dirrell

The VAST majority of ESBers or atleast European ESBers thought that Ward and Dirrell were going to be brutally beaten. Alot thought they'd be seriously injured. Many believed that they were simply placed in the super six soley because they were Americans, not based on talent.

    Now what DO WE KNOW?

That Andre "SOG" Ward would be favored, heavily in most cases against ALL the fighters in the Super Six.

Andre Dirrell would either be favored, or 50/50 with every fighter of the Super Six.

Andre Dirrell and Andre Ward are certainly the most physically gifted fighters in the Super Six.

So in retrospect we have learned a great deal about the Super Six. I feel that those who are angry are those who dont like the inevitable outcome. Which is Andre Ward being crowned Super Six champion.

In the end Kessler is freed up to fight Bute. If he doesnt want to fight Bute and instead face more German shoe salesmen, then thats him. But not the Super Six's fault.

So Kessler was a European HypeJob AND the best in the division? Make your mind up.

Ward is the best at SMW. Froch 2, Kessler 3, Bute 4. I've never disputed he was the top dog at 168.

styles make fights my firend. kessler was taylor made for ward. punches and moves in straight lines, plus the other factors like fighting in his home town, using underhand tactics.

do you agree froch beat abraham more convincingly than ward? does that mean he's not better?

its all relative. we'll see who's better on the night.
