Bute doesnt deserve a straight shot because sitting on the sidelines feasting on bums ( at home ! ) while all the guys in the super 6 have to fight tough fights ( on the road , unless of course you give it up to god ! )
and then attempting to jump in and bum rush the winner to become undisputed isnt right.

Bute should have to fight the loser of the final first ( at least ! )

the dirrell froch fight isn't a measure of how the froch ward fight will go. dirrell fought on the outside all night basically running from froch. he didnt want to get involved. ward is a different type of fighter. he likes a brawl.

your right about the ward kessler fight. ward did out box him in the second stage but only because like i said kessler comes forward in straight lines throwing staight shots. froch doesn't dive in he measures you up with that jab and catches you coming in. it will be a completely different fight.

im not saying ward won't win because he probably will, but it wont be easy atall.

 Jermaine Taylor outboxed Froch for large portions of their fight, while not having near the footwork, adaptability, stamina, or multi-dimensional prowess of Ward. Even when Froch had Dirrell cornered he struggled to land a clean blow.

Now lets say that Ward DOES brawl with Froch. Froch got out brawled by Mikkel Kessler. Ward is proven a better fighter then Kessler. So what makes you think that Froch would win this confrontation aswell?

To put it simply, in a real world application you'd struggle to find any conceivable way for Froch to win this fight.

taylor is slicker than ward. bute is probably slicker than ward. look how ward was getting tagged by bika. imagine what froch would do to him. if ward fights on the outside like dirrell does i can see him winning a comfortable decision but if he gets involved like im sure he will froch has the punch variation and power to make it very interesting.

No. I don't have any problem if you rank Bute 4th because he obviously wasn't able to fight top competition. I have a problem when you say Froch, Ward and Kessler are the 3 BEST. We don't know. When Bute faces one of them, we may have a very different picture of the division. Kessler-Bute was possible for this fall but Sauerland didn't want it so we'll have to wait a bit longer.

    That's not what Showtime thinks.

If nothing else it saw the evolving of Ward into a world title level fighter.

That's for sure, even if after Kessler, the rest of his tournament was easier than for the others. The final will clear things up.

It was a great idea that has turned into a bit of a farce and that's mostly due to the absolute incompetence and shockingly poor planning by Showtime who have shown themselves as a Smalltime outfit who couldn't organise a drink in a pub.

There was also no need whatsoever to be waiting 6 months between each ****ing fight it's dragged on a bit too long.

Direll couldn't have come out of this any worse. He created controversy, fought and behaved like an absolute desperate ***** in both of his fights and then shamefully and blatenty made an excuse and quit the tournament rather than fight ward. He will never be taken seriously as a fight ever again in his cringeworthy little career.

Ward has clearly been given preferential treatment by Showtime in all this, the way he's been allowed to stay in his backgarden while the rest are travelling round Europe and the US. He's also been given the easiest fights possible and virtually been carried to the final it's almost laughable if it wasn't so annoying.

Froch has emerged with a sterling reputation and as a fighter you HAVE to show the utmost respect to. Whether he wins the final or not he is the real fans fighter and deserved the most credit from all he's done. His resume speaks for itself as does his willingness to fight anyone and travel anywhere. He puts the wards and dirrells to shame with their bitchness.

Finally Bute... He's a guy content to stay in Canada or worse Romania and fight bums. The guy has fought nobody and done nothing. It staggers me that some people act as if HE is the prize that the super 6 winner has earned a shot at. Bute is nobody. Stop mentioning him among the top SmW

^^^6 Example A of a European made that 2 American prospects, Ward in particular have proven superior to the rest of the field.

You will find that most who share the opinion this tournament was a failure are those of his ilk.

It hasn't proved the 2 best boxers from the tournament are in the final, with Dirrel and Kessler withdrawing.

But the most important thing is that it has created stars!

Bute vs Ward for the ring title in 2012!
