After two years Super Six clearified almost nothing in SMW

at using his jab and landing straight combinations from range. thats what froch doesn't like. look at dirrell, kessler and taylor. ward is more all round fighter, he has an inside game and can rough you up aswell as pot shot you. but you cant tell me he's world class at landing combinations from range.

 

We all discovered how much of a ***** Dirrell is...

 

Ward proven superior?...by beating Allan Green?...or Abraham in less impressive fashion that Froch did it?...by beating kessler on cuts after fouling him to death?...by looking **** against sakio bika??...by refusing to fight anywhere else but his back garden?

A great idea that had the 2 best SMWs in the final in my opinion. Not sure why people are mentioning Bute as he hasn't fought the same calibre of opponents as the rest.

Although i find Ward the overall better boxer in the tournament, there is CLEAR bias towards him, even willing for him to get into the final and winning it. Although not a fan of Kessler's i felt really sorry the way Ward repeatedly fouled him to get a decision. Ward would have won but it was clearly a dirty win.

Froch deserves maximum respect for what he has achieved prior and during the S6. He will have to force the win against Ward because there are many things stacked up against him.......

 

Jermaine Taylor moves in straight lines. As to why he gets KO'd by fighter like Froch, Abraham and Pavlik.


Ward moves in circles, can fight on the inside, on the outside and inbetween.

Being able to throw combinations does not determine slickness. Ward is has far better footwork and defense then Jermaine Taylor.


Dirrell didnt throw combination against Froch. Mostly 1 or 2 shot at a time. Timing and accuracy is Froch's bane, not combination punching.

 

I.E Your mad Ward is going to school Froch, and be seen as the best fighter at 168 by the vast majority of the boxing public. :good

 

Just out of curiosity, do you think 'my man' is ward? If so, your sorely mistaken. I hope Froch knocks him the **** out! I've NEVER been a ward fan, I can just admit he is currently the best in the division.

As for 'who has Ward beat apart from Kessler' - that's a ridiculous question in itself. The Kessler win is better than anything Bute has done. U can't just wipe that one off the record. Who has Bute beat? Magee, who Froch had already beaten? Bika, who Calazghe had beaten? Its just a silly thing to do. Yes Bute got rid of Miranda quicker, because he has more power than Ward. Abe has more power than ward, but it doesn't make him a better fighter.

I realise a lot of people are waiting for this, but IMO Kessler is more deserving at the first crack of the S6 winner. Just an opinion.

Al i can say is i hope Ward carries on fighting like that against Froch and come into him, he will be loving a good bit of roughing up will Mr Froch! He will laugh at those punches.

 

Come off it, its done wonders for the division, a potential great in Ward (as much as I hate his style), realising how hyped AA is, showing how class Dirrell is and how much of wimp he is, solidiying Froch as a real fighter, Kessler is still at the top of the game, it may not of found the best SMW, but its give us masses of big fights that we wouldnt of got normally.

 

Nah and I can see why , it would probably be the bigger money fight. I'm talking purely what seems to me the fairest option , sporting wise.

Bute probably will get the shot though

 

the super six was more of an americans (3) against europeon (3) thats why bute was not invited, why was johnson the replacement, is he better than bute...no, they have practiced and spared together and bute outclasses him, the super six, even if we got some good fights out of it,it was more about national pride than having the best fighters out there

 

gave us great match ups over the last to years

**** off. ward would of fought cans liek bute. Froch would of fought cans in europe etc.. you get the point

I agree with the original poster

there still would have to be more fights after the final

and that the semi finals got ruined because of withdraws
