Yeah foreal i thought Jaidon was done boxing when Green knocked him out that's why i was so interested in the Contender just to see how he'd do. He surprised me and only to be KO'ed again...
Green's performance tonight was a joke. Before the match, he kept saying how his plan was to throw power punches and get Williams out of there as soon as possible, but he did the complete opposite. Williams is barely an active boxer and clearly took this fight to get a little money, not win. In the early rounds you could see Williams clearly didn't want to be there and he layed on the ropes waiting for Green to throw something other than a jab, but instead Green waited for him to get off the ropes so he could throw another 20 jabs. Did Allan forget that a right hand can be thrown after a quick jab? It should have been an early KO.. those jabs were getting through effortlessly and that right hand would have gotten through also. Instead, Green let Williams gain confidence and fought an embarrassing fight. I thought before that Green was mentally weak and now I know for sure. His movement sucks, his punches aren't very accurate and he doesn't put them together well, his chin is shaky, his stamina isn't great, he's gunshy, he isn't very quick, and he's mentally weak. I was cheering against Green when Miranda was knocking him around the ring in 2007 and I will be cheering against him when he steps it up and gets KO'ed by one of the top 10 SMW's in 2008.
Bring Green to Montreal in February. Bute will put an end to the Green's hype. Apparently Green had a verbal agreement for the fight.
Everytime Green opened up, it seemed to stun Williams. Yet, he never really went in for the kill. I think it's obvious Green played it safe to preserve a fight with Bute.
hopefully the fight will be shown on american five this week as i dont like to comment on what i have not seen.
Sheee-it, not just in the fight and ahead on the cards, but he was still almost in the ring too.:good
