WHOOOOOOOO cotto does an amazing job of hiding when he is hurt... pay attention to the point of when cotto's hit to the way cotto falls into zab... he falls into zab to protect him self and fades to the ropes... all that ducking and diving is to show that hes not hurt ( but the hit effected him) then once hes on the rope zab hits him with teh over hand left... and cotto falls into the ropes slightly again... its for small details but those punches effected cotto
agreed .... Cotto does a great job of hiding the fact that he was hurt ... during the Mosley fight it took Shane's dad telling him to go for the KO and that Cotto was hurt. "don't wait for him Shane, that mans hurt"
i wasnt upset with the decision or anything... i thought it could have went down as a draw but the close victory for cotto wasnt a bad call either... yeah i agree with the boxer part though... mosley stood toe to toe with cotto for most of the fight.. i thought there were some rounds where he would decide to not be paralell to cotto and he had some success in those ronds.... i need to check that fight out again though
prime example walk with me ... and look at the bull**** the ref did ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAytkiq5_RU
Now if that was Floyd that fight wouldve been stopped in that round or the next couple of rounds after.
cotto always get hit whit right cross evritime has no head movement and his a sucker for the uppercut even alfonso gomez cut him up whit that punch
http://youtube.com/watch?v=ecEVbJ7jklY OMGGG hahaha 9:26 on the timer... zab had cotto shook again and he didnt even pounce on him....its a damn shame zab is so ****ing stupid he pissed this match away really
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAytkiq5_RU 26 seconds in to the video. even @ that point floyd would have went into attack mode... even before that bull**** call by the ref there was a second in between.. when shane should have lunged in.. floyd would have started to set it up for the finale even the over hand right @ 58 ... got to cotto a little bit.... haha looking back on all this ****... cotto's lucky to have fought fighters who never capitolized on these major moments... this might be something he isnt as lucky with when it comes time to fight antonio
agreed ... Cotto wouldn't have to show hurt against PBF ... he wouldve noticed it. The one asset of Floyd that often times gets over looked is his superior thinking in the ring. He wouldve noticed any changes that Cotto wouldve made ... alot of times fighters read the facial expessions of their opponent ... Floyd wouldve noticed a change in his body language and set up the for kill once he seen Cotto take that step back or any signs of buckling in the knees. Floyd also wouldve thrown more straight punches to the body once Cotto go close enough to him ... he has the superior reach and wouldve used it ... then mixing up the faints ... Cotto wouldve been confused by the 5th round.
2:08 the right uppercut did damage but it didnt seem to me like it really effected cotto.. we couldnt see what the ref did..... either way shane stopped then when the camera panned out the ref told cotto to get to a corner... so either way the ref paused the action whether it was a bad cal or not
exxaacccttlly... people dont like to admit floyd knows how to close out... time and time again as the rounds go on floyd gets stronger and stronger and when the opponent is at his weakest state floyd goes in..... after this thread im convinced cotto wont last...
Cotto won't last but it matter because fans will just throw Cotto under the bus and find someone else for him to fight and jump on their bandwagon.
