After watching Hatton-Paulie

Exactly. People say Hatton was improved, the only thing I saw improved was his stamina, and he threw a better jab. Besides that, he still got hit with far too many clean crisp punches coming in. As i said, at one point Malignaggi clinched like he was going to throw, and Hattons head immediately snapped back like it was a conditioned response lol.

 

That's a lie, Paulie hardly punched in the whole fight, the reason why the fight got stopped was because Buddy told Paulie if he is'nt going to throw punches he will stop the fight and Paulie went into the round not throwing anything in return.

 

"Check hook"? How many times had you used that phrase before Hatton-Mayeather? Do you know what it is? I mean REALLY? Or are you just saying that Hatton gets hit with the left hook?

Answer the first question before the other 3 if possible.

so then what im getting out of this thread is that anyone whos quick like Paulie, boxes beautifully enough to know how and when to throw a hook like that, and has sharp enough power is going to beat Ricky Hatton?

Firstly the only thing I felt Malignaggi landed with constant success was the jabs, that worried me, nothing else.

And he loses to anyone with power does he?...sorry but i believe he already beat the hardest punching light welterweight of the last 10 years in Koysta Tyszu and he fought him toe to toe and took many punches that would knock out most fighters without a doubt.

 

You dont need alot of speed to find Hatton. Power would suffice. I.e what happened against Lazcano. As to why Hatton should forget about a move to 147. At 140, i could see a fighter like Torres giving Hatton a wealth of problems.
