i agree, Zoo landed some devastating shots that would have put the best on their asses. Zoo was 4 years ago. Hatton could take those shots then, as evidence against Lazcano he cant really take those shots anymore. Hell he got shook by Paulie on one combo. He needs to develop a better defense. he doesnt move his head coming in, and against a fighter with relative good speed and power that could spell trouble.
lol :rofl what is it your trying to say? it doesn't have actual substance unless you put it into context
okay I get what your saying but counter punching as quickly as Paulie does and STILL putting enough pop on it takes the right kind of fighter....whos fast enough to land it with enough force to hurt Hatton?most guys would THROW that punch and it would be too slow. Hatton took flush shots from alot of good 140 pounders with pop and diddnt get rattled bad... Kostya Tszyu hit him with hooks too, but he had to throw them with JUST speed and couldnt set down on them. Probably the only guy with enough pop to hurt and enough speed to land right is Floyd Mayweather....and dont forget that was after 10 rounds of boxing that floyd landed it.
You must be one of those that cant admit he was wrong to begin with, so he has to make up with something to degrade the fighter he was rooting against. No, Hatton did not get hit with the checkhook with the regularity you imply......the only punch that Paulie even consistently tried throughout the fight was the jab.....and Hatton had no respect for it, as he just went right though it. When are some of you going to learn the subtleties of boxing......because Hatton charged Malignaggi the way he did, does'nt mean he has'nt learned from previous mistakes, and would just dive in and lunge toward a fighter with better punching power than 5 KO's in his career. Give the man his credit when its due. Malignaggi at best could claim to have won the 1st round, and thats even debatable. Give Hatton his credit, he dominated Malignaggi like no other fighter before him had done before.
People act like Im saying every fighter with pop is going to beat Hatton which is wrong. Someone who likes tocounter and throw that hook off his backfoot will hurt Hatton and win. He hasn't corrected it and wont correct it. It's a habit.
I give Hatton credit. I picked him to win.. I don't know where you are getting at. Hatton was hit with a jab and a left hook over and over WHEN HE LUNGED IN. That's all Im saying.. he did it over and over in the later rounds and that was a punch Paulie could land clean.
I knew Hatton was going to win. I picked him by wide Decision. But I also can analyze a fighters weakness. And Hatton still has massive holes in his defense that will be exploited by a harder puncher.
I hope no one takes my comments as offencive, I dont mean them to be if they are, but i like to debate boxing, and I DO dissagree with you eze though...I think I get what your saying
you could be right...I just dont see many guys arround who do it well enough to think Hatton has to shake in his boots about it is all.
Hatton kops a KO from a counter left hook ("check" in new terms) and know every boxer with a left hand can stop him? ;O)
