After watching JCC Jr. tonight, is he a good fight or a wrong pick for Cotto?

Don't kid yourself. Cintron may wilt under the pressure, but JCC Jr. will not be able to handle Cintron.

Saying Cotto would beat Chavez Jr is an understatement.

I think Cotto will be too small for Jr. Jr Shows he's got an Iron Chin. And That was against a Good Middleweight puncher in Duddy. Roach and Ariza did a good job on working with Jr's stamina. That was a big ? mark before. It will be a Good fight though. I'll Pick Jr.

This is a great fight for cotto it makes sense business wise since he'll make a ton of money here. And it makes sense competitively since chavez jr. is not on his level so he doesnt represent a thread and it'll be an easy win. Cotto needs a break and a little more time since i dont think his confidence is completely back yet.

LOL....The only thing getting raped is Cintron. Every fight he acts like a ***** and Jr is a lot tougher than Kermit the frog. i'm sure you were saying Chavez would be smashed by Duddy...and that doesn't surprise me given you think after Jr's performance that Kerit has any shot at all.

Cintron is not Duddy. Cintron may be lacking alot of things, but ability is not one of them. Cintron would wreck Jr.

Kermit has all the tools, talent and potential in the world....but he lacks a TRUE foundation for a pro fighter at this level. He got a very late start to begin with....VERY little AM experience and with his mental condition wrecked he no longer enjoys "Getting by" on talent and natrual ability. He's a solid pro but he doesn't have the mental strength to overcome obstacles effectively anymore. Kermit would fail as he always does when he faces a challenge. He's clearly on the downside of his career and has been since his losses to Marg.

Charlie, Cintron beat Angulo who is better then Chavez Jr. There's no way Chavez Jr will survive the bombs from Cintron.

Handle what? A fragile shell of a once decent fighter? I'll take my chances on a revived, fresh and solid fighter than Kermit the frog anyday of the week. Don't get it twisted....Kermit is milking his name that he built from hype that he earned early in his career for being a KO Artist with unlimited potential. All of that luster is all but gone. He's a fragile kid who no longer has the goods to make it in this sport...at least not on the level he's been trying to make fights at. I'm surprised he got past Angulo.

Kermit is still dangerous but Duddy...a BIGGER guy with POWER hit Jr a few times with BOMBS! And Jr took them with ease. He'll weather any "***** ass Storm" Kermit produces early then he'll break down mentall, physically and find a way OUT! That is all Kermit is really good for at the moment. Finding way or excuses on why he took a loss or why he Can't fight. Jr is too much for this version of Kermit. Kermit beat Angulo who is a good fighter but I think Angulo beat himself. Kermit is a solid pro but he is weak mentally and Jr would take his confidence.

I don't think Jr. is a bum and he does have some advantages, but there's something to be said for just being better. Cotto has elite talent and would be too versatile for the novice.
