After watching JCC Jr. tonight, is he a good fight or a wrong pick for Cotto?

Chavez Jr should be looking to fight Yuri Foreman see how that goes.....seems like a good opponent if you are Cotto or a Cotto fan a limited guy with name recognition we should be able to can...

Jr is still a big question mark for most. And I get that. The masses who support him and more importantly his father's legacy were and have been taken advantage of by the way they managed Jr's career. But Duddy is on the level of Kermit and in my opinion ABOVE him at the moment. Simply b/c of Kermits actions in and out of hte ring. He's very weak and fragile which means someone like jr who is very confident and on a high would be able to best someone like Kermit. Maybe a few years ago before his 2nd destructive loss at the hands of Marg it would be different....but now, Kermit is at best a gate keeper.

I can't argue with your assessment of Kermit's status as a gatekeeper, but he is head and shoulders above Duddy in ability.

I agree with that! Kermit is ALL talent and athletic ability. But what he lacks is the solid foundation of the sweet sciecne that Duddy has with his AM background. Kermit has done well based on his talent and natural ability but withoug his mental confidnce he can't reach his full potential. Duddy brings different qualities that this version of Kermit lacks.

So we agree on pretty much everything except the outcome of Cintron vs Jr. Maybe we'll have the chance to revisit this if it happens.

No doubt! I actually like the fight and think it would sell well. PR vs MEX....always a good sell. The fight itself I'm not so sure about. I think it might end up being one sided in nature.
