I was watching the fight last night, and I actually forgot how blinding Mosleys speed was in that fight (and his jab was sharper than its been in previous years). Also, after watching Floyd/Marquez again, I don't think Floyd is faster than him at this point in time.

I understand those who disagree with that, because Floyd is very fast, but even if you think Floyd is faster its not that much in my opinion.

This is going to be an exciting fight.

Floyd is the favourite. but make no mistake Mosley is the best offensive fighter he's ever faced. I don't think he's faced a guy with Mosleys combination of speed/power/accuracy/bodypunching/finishing ability.

One of the thing about the Margarito fight, is that Mosley was hittmg Marg all night, with wide loooping, and telegraphed right hands. A lot of times Shane was lunging all wild to land his shots, but because Maragrito doesn't believe in defense, he was right there. Mayweather won't be.

Floyd is overall fast. Shane haven't lost much of anything since his prime and may even added some power. Shane may have lost some conditioning. But people need to understand. Handspeed without accuracy is just flashy. Sure mosley looked super fast against margo but then against margo have basically zero body movement. So shane can't miss. Floyd is more calculated. he rather land a above decent speed. then super fast and miss.

Thats true but like you say Margarito didnt believe in defense so Shane knew that opening was going to be there. If you throw you will land vs Margarito simple as that. Now Mayweather and Collazo isnt the same fighter but use the Collazo fight as an example that Mosley will place his punches better vs a skilled boxer.

I agree, but the thing is this. Mosley is generally an accurate puncher. Mosley has never really been a guy who misses a lot of punches. De La Hoya misses a lot, Judah misses a lot. I generally see Mosley land around 50% of his compubox power punches. I know compubox is not reliable, but Mosley is usually a fairly accurate puncher.

Watch ODLH vs Mosley 1 to see just how fast Mosley used to be.

Mosley usaully doesn't just wind up like that, he did against Margo because he knew it would connect, I know you like PBF but relax, you don't need to be his mouth piece.

I think floyd's main weakness is his hands. Floyd would have to throw hard shots at shane to get shane's respect. Shane got an iron chin. Oscar only had success bc of the amatuer size ring. Oscar took away floyd's legs from the begining.

personally i don't see why people are praising oscar against floyd. 8-4 is the most obvious score. That one judge scored it for oscar is on oscar's payroll. With that said. Oscar is really pathetic in that fight. Asking for a tiny ring, pillow gloves, showing up 160, and holding and hitting fouling every chance he gets and when out he just want to shoot jabs and even that he stoppoed bc floyd shoots a right hand over his jabs.

One thing I agree with; Mayweather is not as blindingly fast as he was a few years ago. But you never know. It's just like certain days in the gym, certain days in life... Sometimes you're snappy and twitchy, sometimes you're not.

should be every competitive early...but i just keep seeing Mosley chase Cotto and eating straight shots right down the middle cus he wouldnt MOVE HIS HEAD AND SHOULDERS to slip any of the punches....i just dont see how he can do that against Floyd.
