do you guys believe Hatton still wants to get knocked out by Pacman? Will Hatton's camp stall their inevitable fight in 2009?
Hatton has nothing to lose..Sure Hed take it.. He has no legacy now...he needs to create one and who to better do it against than a winnable fight against PAC. Its his shortcut to greatness
In my opinion, I am not certain Pac would beat Hatton at 140. Also, Mayweather Sr is training Hatton now, and I think Sr is the best trainer in boxing. Now, at 147, I am certain Pac would KO Hatton. He might KO hatton at 140 also, but I am not certain.
Good post. Either way this would be a very entertaining fight. Boxing fans must see this fight happen no later than September of 2009. If this fight does not occur before 09/2009 then I must say it's Hatton who is stalling.
I think Hatton's training with Mayweather has de-railed him as the fighter he's good at being... His performance against Malignaggi wasn't spectacular to me. He was actually stunned at one point by the VERY FEW right hands that Paulie threw...That controlled aggression payed off well against his fight with Paulie because Paulie built his ENTIRE gameplan around his aggression and when he didn't grapple like he expected he simply fell apart...I'm not saying Hatton didn't dominate, but I don't think I saw a HUGE improvement in his fighting style... At either 140 or 147 I take Pac...but it will be VERY close...Hatton will OBVIOUSLY pull the trigger But I don't think he'll be able to handle the speed either...or the bouncy activity of Pac...I think Hatton would've needed to train under Mayweather much longer before becoming a well-rounded and aggressive fighter that he aspired to be under his wing...
