He is a warrior, tough and brave... but he is easy to hit, no defense whatsoever. his fight with Austin,OMG,he took so many clean shots..and finally won by KO. i dont know how he is gonna handle Juanma's power. If Juanma connects at easy with his big bombs, the fight isnt gonna last much.
Rogers Mtagwa had Lopez running for his life. Lopez also has a streaky chin. Marquez is gonna **** this young pup up. :hey
It's gonna be a good fight. Can't wait! Although it's showing on Showtime and my friend only has HBO.
cant underestimate a fighters ability based on 1 fight, do you think juanma will come in to this fight not prepared to go 12 rds...juanma looked gased more than hurt with mtagwa
I'll post this a second time: If Conception could counter and drop Lopez when hurt with a punch like this (around 3:30), I can't imagine Rafa not being able to do worse with his precision and power and finish him with his killer instinct. Damn That head but right before the punch almost ended the fight. And that Ref sucked. Not saying the outcome would have been different but the end shouldn't have come then. He slammed Concept. to the ground with his left hand... Hope Marquez still has something left.
Thats the one thing thats frustrating about rooting for Rafael.......he wars with fighters that can hurt him and are there at the moment hurting him....... ......all of the Israel Vasquez fights, it was plain to see that if Marquez just boxed, kept distance and used the jab to set up power, he'd have made those fight easy and Vasquez would have been uncompetitive. .......Rafael loves the exchanging part of the game. To plant his feet and exchange thunder. If Lopez beats him, this fact is surely going to be Marquez' undoing.
Rafa eats lefts like theres no tomorrow. JML is going to destroy him easily and early. But then again it has been the year of the Mexican, so Rafa may pull it off.
Marquez was a fantastic fighter back at 118. Got hit with some, sure, but gave plenty back. Very high skill level and P4P power, he ruled BW with ease. However, he was already out of his element at 122, and 3,5 grueling Izzy fights later, now at 126, he's nothing more than a once top fighter badly past his prime with a good name, and this fight - very predictably - is happening just because of that. Typical Top Rank business choice, although more than one oldie reminded the Company that inside the ring it's a completely different business. But I just don't see Marquez pulling a Mosley, I saw his last two fights.
its a smart move by TR... surprise didnt go PPV....i mean Chavez Jr is PPV and this is way better fight. but Big Bone just said it like it is.
