In Terry Crawford's 23rd fight he was badly hurt, and it took him 60 seconds to recover fully, from a solitary hand from the way naturally smaller and lighter Gamboa who should be 7-5 at and has only stopped 2 of his 12 opponents at the weight, one of whom was shot. If Gamboa was the same size as him that right hand would've finished him of that I am certain.

In Tyson Fury's 21st fight he was dropped heavily and went life and death against a light-hitting CW who he outweighed by 44 pounds and he had to turn it into a physical battle of attrition, using his size and weight mauling and leaning all over the much smaller man to pull out the win.

In his 30th fight Tyson ''The Gypsy King'' Fury went life and death against and was hurt by a 20-0 Ottomatic and had he not been the A side the fight would've 100% been stopped due to the cut he sustained. Ottomatic looked very poor in his last fight against an 11-24-2 Sokowlowski whose record is admittedly deceptive. Are Tyson and Ottomatic crude unskilled bums now?

A 25-0 Twink just went life and death against an oompa loompa in his previous fight, winning via a single point on two of the PBC judge's cards in a fight many felt he lost including myself felt he lost and one in which had the ref not been in the bag he would've 100% lost.

Teofimo just lost to a Kambosos who won his previous 2 fights by SD, one against a career 126 pounder who'd only been at the weight for a couple of fights, the other against a inactive way past prime 36 y/o who had only fought once in three and a half years, against a 3-5-1 tomato can.

It took Beterbiev 12 and 10 rounds respectively to get Deines and Koelling out of there and he looked flat as hell and well below par against the former when he, like JT, was coming back from injury and Covid.

A 27-0 Jermallo should've lost to an old way past prime inactive Korobov who literally hadn't fought anyone with a pulse in four years, had only fought once in 25 months, a six rounder against a complete can who was like 2-11 in their last 13, 9 of said losses inside schedule.

There are countless more examples of this kind of thing but what there are very few of examples of it happening to are fighters who have fought the level of competition and achieved what JT has (unifying a division and becoming P4P #5 in just 18 fights (19 now).

He was coming back from a bad knee injury, Covid, a chest infection, ballooning up in weight to the biggest I've ever seen him which obviously had a lot to do with the injury, and he looked skeletal and deathly ill at the weigh in, much worse than usual, which many pointed out. And you could see he was very tense and nervous during his ring walk too which I picked up on immediately.

You mean, illegally hold and pull back Cunninghams head and then whacked him in the face. This should have been a clear disqualification. It's genuinely shocking that the result wasn't overturned for that.

He was actually getting out boxed for a good portion of that fight by a smaller guy (who looked two weight divisions smaller). That in itself is pretty embarassing

Yes he was moved quickly I agree with that but he came through very well so we knew he was a very good fighter but based on last night it looks like he may be regressing. I don’t see much joy against the top dogs at 147 but won’t mind him spanking Conor Benn which could be a big money fight. I think Kell Brook will be to much man for him even now.

It's crazy how fast he was moved and how tough he was matched, matched tough against former/current world champions in back to back to back fights for the most part, a bunch of whom are very/big punchers. The fact he's been able to achieve all his has despite that is a testament to his talent and toughness but subsequently he's been in a lot of wars and had to learn on the job at a rapid pace, too rapid, the hard way.

I think, and hope it was just a very bad day at the office due to a variety of factors combining and that he'll be much better next time out. He has to move up to 147 now though and pump the breaks with all this talk of fighting Terry. He needs a few fights to settle into the weight first against good but not close to top level opponents. Terry didn't fight anyone of note at 147 really up until his last fight.

I can’t see him having any joy with Terry Bud Crawford, my boy EJ or Boots Ennis. In fact he probably should not fight Danny Swift Garcia either. I think Thurman might be interesting but I love him spanking Conor Benninna big domestic fight probably in Manchester or London.

I'm going to wait and see how he looks up there before I offer an opinion about any of those match ups and I'm not going to judge him off last night's performance when I know he's so much better than he showed last night.

I'd rather see Brook vs Benn next. The clock is ticking for Kell and that one needs to be made sooner rather than later. If Kell doesn't decide to hang his gloves up that is which I would prefer him to do. But if not the Benn fight is the fight to be made and it's a great match up stylistically

FTR, if Terry or E-Spence move up and don't fight Super Boots Ennis I will consider it a duck. He's the new kid on the block and in terms of raw talent, physical gifts and power the best in the top ten.

I had it 113-112 to JT but that was a shitty performance. He finished well in the last 4 after the knockdown. His grit pulled him out tonight. But it wont be enough even against Ugas if he fights like this again.

I think Josh Taylor was spooked when Catterall choked him at the weigh in. Catterall got into Josh's head. It's like, I'm the smaller guy and you've got 4 belts, but I don't GAF.

Taylor is a good fighter and he'll look also good at 147 albeit i don't see him beating the big boys there.

He had a rough camp with a knee injury, Covid and a chest infection. Probably should have waited another 2 or 3 months before returning to the ring.

He always had a very rough weight cut to make 140 pounds and with a chest infection, a knee injury and Covid he probably couldn't even train as much as he wanted to get the weight down early.

Most people also thought Catterall is a domestic bum with a padded record. No, he isn't. He's actually pretty good for a guy nobody really knew before.

People shouldn't be so harsh on Taylor for this one. His performance wasn't good. He should have lost the fight. But i give him a pass here regarding his performance.

After fighting so many elite fighters in his weight class and the rough circumstances for this one everyone should calm the **** down and respect what he did over the last few years.

He will give us a couple of more entertaining fights at 147 in the future.

all that "caterall is actually good" reminds me of campbel when lomachenko looked like **** vs him.

Spoiler, caterall is even worse than campbell.

Caterall is nothing special. He has NOTHING, not even decent stamina. The only reason people are saying he's actually good is because they cant deal with taylor not being what they thought he was.

Crawford would put taylor in a coma. Spence too. And if canelo tried to fight the likes of caterall he would be burnt alive in this forum, that's how good caterall is.

Let’s see them fight each other next. Boots Ennis is really good but not sure that fight gets made because EJ and Bud are men on a mission. When EJ beats Bud he is moving up and you know where we are going.

He's on the verge of a shot and has been calling for one for ages. I'm not even trying to poop on them but I will just be very disappointed if they suddenly depart the division instead of fighting him. He's E-Spence's mandatory now and I want to see at least one of them fight him. They need to fight each other too. If they move up before fighting him it's going to look like a female dog move.

He got completely out-boxed, however you`re right about Charlo and Beterbiev, having said that both are bigger punchers in their respective divisions than Josh.
