What does a defensive boxer have to do with two offensive fighters that neglect defence?

Are you saying that every fighter should go to war in every fight?:yep

Now, there are plenty of reasons not to take Joy Boy serious at this point, but comparing different types of fights and styles are not even close to being legitimate.

    Comparing apples and oranges.

Floyd fights smart. Yes, he says he'll "brutalize" opponents, but its to generate interest. In the end, he fights in a way that will keep brain damage at a minimal. As a fan, I might criticise his safety-first performances, but having been in the ring as well, when I think about it, I can't really fault him for it.

Marquez and Vazquez are special fighters who have left their mark on boxing history thanks to their power, hearts, toughness, courage, offensive abilities, and defensive liabilities. Unfortunately, we'll see the effects of their trilogy once they age.

All three fighters deserve respect for different reasons; Floyd is a better overall boxer. Marquez and Vazquez are greater warriors.

Not belittling Marquez and Vasquez but after watching the fight I just see a huge skill and talent difference compared to PBF. For me the Lesser damage you take in a fight while laying a beatdown on your opponent only means you are a Superior/Better Athlete.... Dont get me wrong I do enjoy toe to toe action. Just dont get confused as to who is the better boxer.

Marquez and Vasquez tend to also fight the best in their division.;)

True. In that case, I'll have to say I respect Marquez's and Vazquez's willingness to face the best more than I do Mayweather's willingness to fight the biggest names.

I won't criticize PBF for being skilled enough to not take a brutal beating even in fights he wins. Like Brooklyn says, it's comparing apples and oranges. I greatly respect Mayweather, Vasquez, and Marquez.

Wait a minute, Marquez came up from Bantamweight. Floyd fought a guy coming from 140(who was also a former WW titelholder), and he got blasted for not fighting the best in his division. Marquez went up in weight to fight the WBC champ, Mayweather did the same.

Where would you rank Marquez @ 122? Top 10? Top 5? 3? Second best after Izzy?

And where does Hatton rank @ 147? Doubtful top 5.

How would you know where to rank Marquez at 122 before the first fight given that he never fought there before?
