Harrison was totally winning! Trading jabs with Wilder. Not landing a significant shot. Wilder's jabs were much better. and being walked in to a corner before taking the first big punch of the fight which pretty much knocked him out. That was a great desplay of master boxing that Mayweather, Leonard and Robinson would be jellous of.
What I find bemusing, is the fact that Harrison is actually scared of getting punched. Obviously, I would be no different vs Wilder, but he is a pro fighter and a boxing gold medalist. As soon as he was tagged you could see proper fear in him, and he was actually running away. Crazy, I really dont understand it.
You have to understand: Harrison only threw 1 punch, to Wilder's 9 jabs (before the 14 punch KO flurry) and that 1 punch didn't even land..... - but it was a clean & effective miss, and showed great ring generalship! Wilder was lucky that ref stepped in when he did!
Harrison in a nutshell. Afraid to taste the business. All the talent in the world, doesn't have the toughness or heart.
What's crazy is his performances in the amateurs. The man was a beast in the amateurs, he would exchange shots and trade all the way nonstop. Can't understand what happened to him when he turned professional. Just feels forced in there and petrified.
maybe it was the first KO loss that did this ? I know there was a lot of pressure on him during that time and insane amounts of money.
good punch to get harrison in trouble but what the hell was that?completely amatuer windmilling? ****s sake if he did that against a decent fighter he would be ****ed.fury will stop him and i aint a fan of his.
