Would Whitaker counterpunch him to death??

I would pick Hatton over Camacho because of his ability to notice when an opponent is ready to go - Castillo being the best example but you could include Maussa in this as well. Hatton doesn't have as much pop as DLH P4P - but constantly whacking him to the body would wear him down sufficiently to get the W.

    ATG status
    1. Pernell Whitaker
    2. Roy Jones Jr

    P4P Ability
    1. Roy Jones Jr
    2. Pernell Whitaker

The ATG status is reasonable easy to determine I think. P4P ability is not so easy but I think that Roy was better in his prime.

Of course Camacho is not on the same level. I used Camacho case JUST to illustrate how little great chin may mean. With his great chin he still lost that fights one-sidedly with a little effort to win.

BTW RJJ started to lose TKO in the age of 35, to good champions. At that age Sweat Pea lost TKO to a bum Bojorkez.

I disagree, I say Jones both. I think he achieved more, and never lost in or around his prime except to a DQ.

If you did your research you'd know that Whitaker lost due to a shoulder injury, not due to being KO'd. Also at that stage in their respective careers Whitaker was by far more faded, which is evident by the weightclass and previous performances (watching the fight you can see how different Pea was from 6-7 years ago). Jones was fighting near his best weight and had put up some decent performances around that time, admitedly he was not at his best but he was far better then Whitaker at that age.

Fighters at lower weigth classes also seem to diminish earlier than heavier fighters, these sort of things should not be held against Sweet Pea.

    Not easy at all.

Sweat Pea: Nelson, Chavez, McGirt + Vasquez (alphabetic, but BIG)
RJJ: Hopkins, Toney, Hill + Ruiz (alphabetic, but BIG)

Whitaker also never lost in or around his prime, the Ramirez fight was utter robbery which is apparent to those who have seen the fight. You could also argue that Sweet Pea's only real loss is against Trinidad, years past his best. I feel Whitaker beat the better competition, and H2H I rate both similiar.

Before someone says I'm a RJJ hater, he is infact one of my top 3 favourite fighters ever.

I know that, but he still couldn't go distance with a bum. Even with his great chin he couldn't continue. That's just another reason not to pay much attention to his chin.

Can we please stop mentioning Mayweather's name on this page?? He doesn't belong in the same debate as Whitaker or Jones Jr, different level entirely. PBF was talented, but he never beat a top class live opponent in his career. He isn't as good P4P as Hopkins, Pacquiao, and others from his own era.
