I agree on the Whitaker HL. I've seen alot, but none compare to that. He's the only boxer I can watch and be amazed by every time, even if it's the same footage, it's all amazing. He always looked like he didn't even have to try to beat everybody. It was as if everyone else was in slow-motion and Pernell saw everything coming.

Whitaker for P4P #1 of the past 20 years. Then Jones, then PBF, imo.

It's too bad, because on resume, Floyd could have passed them both (and still can..)

The 2 best of the last 20 yrs are.....

Julio Cesar Chavez & Pernell Whitaker, its a toss up between these guys IMO.

Honourable mentions must go to Mayweather,RJJ & Morales.

I still think RJJ. His defence wasn't as good, but he had far more firepower, and boxing should be about KO'ing not making people miss and racking up the points. Both true greats though, and both well ahead of the rest (I'd have Pacquiao at #3).

whitaker boxed peoples heads off. rjj is not a complete fighter, he is arguably the most athletic boxer to ever step into the ring, but if you take away those gifts, you have a very limited fighter. Whitaker on the other hand, was a technician. Floyd has athleticism and the technical skills, but lacks the resume of sweet pea, so he is number 2.

Tough, tough call.. You could argue for Jones, Pea, Hop, Floyd, Evander, Lennox..

I would put in order -

    Jones
    Pea
    Hop
    Floyd
    Lennox
    Holyfield

Damn tough between 1 and 2 though. Think those 2 are clearly above my 3-6. If Floyd sought to fight the best andwon he could move up to 1.

I correct myself. Pacquiao is #8 or #9, then, depending on which of those spots he is, Trinidad and Mosley, or just Mosley below him.
    I'll go with this:
    #1. Sweet Pea
    #2. Chavez
    #3. RJJ
    #4. B-Hop
    #5. Holyfield
    #6. PBF
    #7. Lopez
    #8. Trinidad
    #9. Pacquiao
    #10. Mosley
Lewis, Barrera, Morales, ODLH, Tszyu, Wright, and Calzaghe are right of the top 10. Might throw Tyson in too. He only had two years before the Douglas fight, but should be enough for top 20.
