Aftermath of PBF-Pac is worse than I ever imagined

  1. So, not only are they not going to fight one another, they are going to be in a head-to-head PPV matchup to see who pulls in bigger numbers??? Genius.:rofl And, on top of that, it appears that Floyd is going to take on Nate Campbell; who might just be the biggest crybaby in boxing. Are we in the Bizzaro Boxing world or something? Is this the Twillight Zone? To say that this is a cluster**** is an insult to the word cluster****. This is so bad that it actually made boxing look worse than if the PBF-Pac talks never had taken place in the first place.

What incentive does the casual boxing now have to even tune into boxing at all? I wouldn't be surprised to see viewership drop across the board for all boxing events because of this. I am a hardcore fan, and I am turned off right now. I can't imagine the psyche of the average joe who doesn't follow boxing but got hyped up by the thought of Pac-PBF taking place--only to get side-swiped.

Now, I have some personal thoughts I'd like to share concerning PBF:

I've been a fan of Floyd's since the early days, but enough is enough. It finally caught up to him; all of the angling and such. Serves him right that Manny is now going to fight Clottey. The truth is, Manny doesn't need Floyd. Manny's legacy is already intact as far as I'm concerned whereas a lot of people don't really feel that way about Floyd's career regardless of his "0". As much as I wanted this fight to happen, I think it's hilarious that it didn't because it just shows how f_ucked up boxing is with the so-called "popular" fighters. Boxing is the LAST sport that should have a bunch of prima donnas running around but it does in fact have them. Boxing is a sport that should be about men wanting to beat the sh_it out of other men...to see who the best is; not worrying about who is doing steroids and what not.

I'll cite one very good example as to why steroids aren't the end-all-be-all as to whether or not a boxer wins a match:

Fernando Vargas vs. Oscar de la Hoya

Fernando looked like a FREAK in that fight...and got blasted out of the ring. So, even if Manny IS on something...doesn't mean he's going to win. Since that's the case, Floyd should've just been more agreeable. I actually don't think Floyd is afraid, but rather, he really doesn't know when to stop pushing people's buttons. I think it's part ego-trip, part power control, and part just plain stupidity.
Manny may not be making as much money fighting Clottey, but it's still a tough fight and he essentially made PBF look like a flippin' idiot by leaving PBF in the cold with nowhere to go....and Nate Campbell is the very definition of NOWHERE!!

PBF forgot that he is dealing with somebody that has far more followers the world over than he has, can easily move along with out him.

  5. I didn't know this! Floyd is probably taking pointers from his mate 50 cent.... and we all know how that turned out.:patsch

After all the baseless accusations he got to Manny Pacquiao and consequently the fight went off, my question is, does the American people still backing up Floyd or proud of what he did to the sport?

There are lots of fans who believe every single thing that comes out his mouth, particularly about his finances. Of course some people will still back him. I dont see how people can look past the way he avoids these fights, its happening way too much now. I made a comment in another thread about how every other fighter is in the same exact business as floyd, yet not one other fighter constantly avoids the fights he should be fighting. There are always excuses from his fans as to why he didnt take this fight or that fight, but the bottom line is the man just doesnt fight the fights he is supposed to fight.

This fight will not happen now. Someone is going to win the paper view war and it wont be a 50/50 split next negotiations. I am pretty sure I know who is going to win that battle. One is the most exciting fighter in the sport and the other one of the most technical but boring fighters. I think Manny wins this by a land slide. I will buy Manny's PPV over floyds anyday. I would hate to have wasted money and I will be sure Clottey vs. Pac wont disappoint.

This is the stupidity we have to deal with. The juice will not make pac a better boxer then PBF. Not one single moron who keeps on claiming juice can explain how it will make Pac beat PBF. This ******ed juicing doesn't mean crap. PED can not transform you into an elite fighter.

Pretty much yeah. His camp can't be mentioning the likes of Matt Hatton. I am not the biggest Floyd fan but i have backed him in all the drug testing thing.. I think is was mostly down to Arum why the fight didn't happen ..

By fighting one of those names given above he can be ranked in the P4P with more contention and all the *******s can't call him scared or a fraud as much as they do.
