I have been saying for years now he always fades later in the fight. There were times when I thought he was totally out of gas and ready to go but GGG let him off the hook many times when he had him in position on the ropes.

People had been saying GGG fades late but his stamina was great throughout.

Canelo was fighting GGfuc kingG, of course he was going to be tired. There's no better pressure fighter then 3G.

I figured Canelo's stamina would be an issue, but I expected GGG to close stronger. At about the 8th or 9th round, I was thinking, to quote Manny Steward, "this fight is going the way I expected".

But GGG did not close strong and Alvarez stole the last 3 rounds on the judges cards and got a draw. In the 11th, Canelo was on the retreat, looking very tired, and GGG's body language didn't show the same fatigue. But GGG looked slow and sloppy when he got to Canelo and Canelo landed the better shots in that round. I thought it was a perfect opportunity for GGG to stamp his imprint by pouncing on a tired Canelo to score a KD or stoppage or at least have a big round, but he performed poorly in that round.

In the end I still thought those last 3 rounds were close and thought GGG won regardless. I just thought things would go different after the 9th. My original pick had been GGG in 10.
