You feel this way only because he beat Vargas.

Hearns beat shorter guys but not smaller guys. Hearns was a thin guy and go to youtube and look at his fights at welterweight. He does not look like this giant, he is tall but he is wiry and the guys he fights are thick. If all it took for guys to win titles is to be 6-1 and fight at welterweight, why don't most guys do it? I admit Oscar is a sure HOF and top 100 probably. But his generation also lacked what the previous generation had. Just that list there, Castiilejo and Campos and Sturm? Those guys are not putting anyone in the HOF. Carr??

Oba Carr as an opponent was just that "an opponent". The guy was not great. He was just good and not even very good. But Oscar is a Hall of Fame fighter yeah Just the fact that he picked Pacman to fight because he wanted a win against a smaller guy shows he lacks heart to take on the big challenges, and that way of thinking sort of backfired on him Saturday night. Hearns in 1996 wanted to fight Roy Jones Jr. but Roy would not fight him. That is having heart.

Tito beat Campas in 1994, Oscar in 2003. Tito beat Camacho in 1994, Oscar in 1997. Tito beat Oba Carr in 1994 Oscar in 1999. Tito beat Vargas in 2000, Oscar in 2002. Tito beat Mayorga in 2004, Oscar in 2006. Tito faced BHOP in 2001, Oscar in 2004.

Are we seeing a pattern here?

Being a 6 weight champ, and one of the most popular boxers ever in the history of the sport must be perhaps make you considered to be HOF worthy.

Because of his celebrity perhaps. WBOgus and IBA titles dont count for much in the IBHOF in Cansatota.

6 out of 10 IBA and WBO so-called titles. Not so impressive is it? Oh yeah he will end up in the H of F and I will give him that but as far as thinking of him as an ATG is ludicrous. He fought too damn many leftovers and smaller guys and guys on their way out. Does he belong in the top 100? No! Did I enjoy the fight watching Goldie take one punch after another? Your damn right I did. No one deserved it more
