De La Hoya to beat an ESB favourite Pryor at 140. Old Cervantes and small Arguello were both able to consistently land on the Hawk. Hoya, a big junior welter is bigger, stronger and at 140 better than the versions of those two that Pryor fought. Oscar had great power at 140, excellent speed, no stamina issues and a sturdy jaw.
well rounded, his jab would match Ali's, good chin, well-rounded, hurtful puncher....I've always thought Holmes would have the tools to match Prime Ali, not necessarily be his boogeyman so to speak, but would match him and probably beat him (in my eyes)
I'd like to take the WBA lightweight champion at the time, Orzubek Nazarov, to push to his limits and possibly beat the IBF reigning champ Oscar De La Hoya in 1995 at 135lbs. Nazarov is a tight guard having, power punching southpaw who in his prime, could greatly trouble a not quite prime time De La Hoya.
I've always thought that Larry Donald was bad news for Commander Vander. Holyfield often looked bad as the aggressor. Holmes, Moorer, Bean and Czyz all made Holyfield look bad. Just imagine an opponent with Donald's legs.
Pryor is a bigger, stronger version of Paquaio. The wipeout would even be more complete(If that's possible). NO STAMINA ISSUE'S???!!!
Ismael Laguna out boxing and winning a decision over Duran! B-Hops beating RJJ in a second encounter that never happened. Chris Eubank beating James Toney and RJJ! Meldrick Taylor winning a decision over Whitaker.
He only had two fights at that weight, Chavez & Miguel A. Gonzalez. But to be fair, he started going the distance more at Welterweight & above.
