Against which of these HWs would Willard make it into R2 after 47 unhindered punches?

Was the Rahman fight stopped early? Were the Botha, Golota, Grant and Rudduck fight stopped early?
    See the fights above.
Rahman could take a good punch, so could Golota and Rudduck. All 3 were pummeled in no more than 6 punches leading to the KO.
If Bruno continued he'd have been sparkled. Just as Willard would've been if that fight had kept on going
Briggs was being smacked about the place as well, the long that had kept going would have led to a KO as well.
No. Just like it doesn't diminish Dempsey's. And not to mention the 3 best chins Lewis faced he has 2 stoppages over 2 of them (although both are questionable, McCall being incredibly questionable).

Well because Lewis, Klitschko and Bruno got opponents counted out/and or heavy dazed with much less punches, all with double-digit KOs among their resume.
As you said, some fights were stopped after an amount of shots preventing this of course <--- This must be kept in mind, but most probably resulting in a KO otherwise, since its absolutely not likely someone getting up for 47 punches when beeing stopped by the ref with much lesser shots, alot of them defending theirself beeing punched.

Terell had 6 KOs in 55 fights and lower than 50% (KO+TKO)/win ratio, so he´s a fighter imaginable beeing involved in hurting a guy and pummeling him for whole round without getting the KO.

Can someone srsly seeing Frank Bruno unloading for that amount on the badly hurt Willard?

Regarding Briggs, he never got KOd against Lewis and was stopped by a slip the last time. Other example of big heart, willpower and toughness against one of the greatest most powerful punchers.

Hmmm... Let's check the reports of Willard's actions and thoughts on July 5th...

    Kansas City Star, 7/6/19
"Aside from the swelling on the right side of his face, which is subsiding with cold applications, he was none the wore for his encounter."

Miami Herald, Bellingham Herald, various others 7/7/19, Dateline Toledo
"Willard, the dethroned heavyweight champion of the world, tonight is on his way to his Lawrence Kansas home.... Willard began the long motor trip late this afternoon. (He) expects the trip will consume about a week. The swelling over his left eye had entirely disappeared and the only marks he bore was a slight discoloration over the eye an a cut lip."

A little rushed this afternoon but I will list more and more... I have listed many in the past here.

BTW, Corbett published a nice piece stating that Willard was an out-and-out quitter, that he was fully equipped to continue for 12 rounds but gave up. I will have to dig that one up.

This is just nonsense. Many, many reports chronicle Jess' return to Lawrence via Chicago. There is no way he makes that trip, driving he and his wife, with anything near those type of injuries. He would have been hospitalized to begin with, not departing 3 days later.

Shannon Briggs and Tim Witherspoon never threw 47 punches in a round, let alone landed that many.

Briggs landed a number of punches on Liakhovich in the first round of their fight, and he could barely throw a punch for the next 10 rounds, he was so gassed.

And Witherspoon got outhustled by a fat Bigfoot Martin.

They weren't the busiest of guys.

Willard did not make it to round 2, he almost made it to round 4. The most destructive, most brutal beatdown in history and the man on the receiving end is conscious at the end of the 3rd? I think a lot of the hyperbole can be attributed to Dempsey being able to hit Willard as he was getting up, multiple times. Which is savage, yes, tis brutal, yes, but it also means that Willard was conscious and able to get his footing after taking such vicious, loaded up punches. Some of them landing while Willard was looking at the floor. No, a modern super heavyweight landing even 10 shots like that in a row would have put Willard in a coma. And is it really such a shame to admit that 187lb Dempsey did not hit as hard as 240lb Lewis or 245lb Wlad?

I am only going by the dozens of articles written in the few days after the fight...

Other interesting notes... Willard drove his own car one hour after the fight, not to a hospital, but to take a bath at his training camp and then to the house he had rented in Toledo and sat on the sun porch. He drove to Lawrence, Kansas three days later. His biggest complaint and the only reason he saw fit for the fight to be stopped was his swollen eye. He complained of nothing else. Again, three days later, he drove on 1919 roadways that were designed for covered wagons in a car that used wagon and bicycle suspension technology. That would have been one helluva bumpy ride and nothing you want to do with severe injuries.
