I'll tell you, that was some damn sad stuff to watch. Maybe Mares still wins, but the fight should not have gone down like this.
Don't know what woulda happened had Mares been docked a few points early on.........a tainted win for him, no doubt. The ref should hang up his bowtie and retire, he's through.
Yeah, he did. I didn't give mares a 10-8 round in round 11 despite it being called a "knockkdown" and he still lost the fight. I scored every round objectionally for agbeko 114-113. Still IBF champion...............king kong agbeko
You're damn right, Paul. Disgusting stuff tonight. I feel gutted for King Kong right now...he had Mares figured out by the end of the fight, but taking on Mares and Mora was just too much of a handicap.
That sounds about right for a score. I don't recall giving Mares too many rounds after the 6th. And that's WITHOUT point deducted for low blows.
dude **** the scoring of this fight and if he could have won its complete ****ing bull****. When you have this many low blows it effects the other fighters performance and changes the outcome. mares should have been disqualified. Yeah no one likes to see a dq in a championship bout but I believe tonight was warranted. If you take away the knockdown in the eleventh and take away 2 points from Mares for low blows which should have been the minimum, you have Agbeko winning. Would the fight have been different in the middle rounds if there were no low blows, I believe so.
**** off with the punch stats. The fight close, and I can only imagine how much better Agbeko would have looked if his testicles weren't punched into the next state. He was coming on in the late rounds and hitting Mares at will in the eleventh before that last huge low blow.
