"I'm going to do to Darchinyan what Nonito Donaire did. Vic's always bragging, bragging - and before he fought Nonito Donaire he was talking like this, and he got knocked out. He's not undefeated. He's got one loss and one draw - that means someone can beat him. I'm going to show him I'm the best - and the strongest opponent he's ever going to meet in his career, and I'm going to beat him on Saturday night."

It can happen, because unlike others, Vic take real risks. No risk/reward ratio, no careful opponent selection, no tune-up moving up in weight. He took the risk of getting knocked out by a really strong BW and prepared to KO Agbeko before King Kong KOs him.

    That's called old school.

I like how he said he's going to do what Nonito Donaire did but doesn't state HOW.

Not that I'm callin it blind optimism or anything but...yeah.

I pick Agbeko to win via KO/TKO... Agbeko's last 2 opponents were tough southpaws...

How is it that Don King is going to give a 10 count for Michael Jackson and Not for Arguello?

    Blasphemy!

I don't see Agbeko doing that, I think he's too slow for Darchinyan and he leaves himself open too much. Darchinyan will stop him in the 10th round.

Is he saying that he is going to help Vic improve as a fighter and go on to unify a division while leaping up the P4P lists?

Is he himself going to truly follow in Nonito's steps and be raped by shitty promoters and have his own career languish?

Or was he planning on having a big-mouthed wife do a heap of bitching about Vic? :rofl

    ** to the subject:

I have NO dislikes of Vic, and he's been putting on some exciting as hell performances. But, I have liked Agbeko since he won his title from Perez (?). I just think it would be "neat" if Agbeko could win against the beast Darchinyan.

Jury may still be out on that one.....Foul play was NOT ruled out last I'd read. Many reports of him making recent appearances and seeming to be "just fine". Who knows though. Very sad either way.

If it turns out he did indeed take his own life, is it your opinion that Mike Jackson is more deserving of the 10 count? I mean Mike may not have (directly, got to look at his lifestyle) killed himself, but he's a proven child molestor.

MJ isn't a proven child molestor, and it looks like he was murdered. Whereas most people are pretty sure Arguello killed himself, since he previously admitted to attempting or thinking about suicide.

Either way, I think you don't see many black people giving memorials for people who committ suicide, so I'm guessing that is where Don King is coming from.

No, I'm not an idiot. But you may be a bit of a **** for leaping to such a conclusion.

If you read my posts you will see that I think very highly of Donaire's skill. You would know that I think he will win a rematch with Vic. You would know that I beleive he has the ability to have a better resume than Vic and to be recognised for the wonderful fighter that he is.
You would also know that I blame his lack of accomplishments compared to Vic to being on his promoters shoulders, and not Nonito's fault at all. If he gets his promoters sorted out then the sky is the limit for such a wonderful boxer.

Nothin in my post that you quoted suggests anything to the contrary.

See, I am both a Donaire and a Darchinyan fan. I know that on this site that seems to be an impossibility. Hell, I am also a Vitali and a Lewis fan. That seems to be a kind of heresy around here....
