Most of the Kovalev/Ward polls have 70-80% people thinking Kovalev deserved the nod. Go look them all up and STFU
Everyone but true fans of the practitioners of the sweet science, like myself and a few others here on ESB. For us, we're wide awoke enjoying every faint, every jab and every combination. Watching a mismatched power puncher against a b-level opponent scoring a 4 round KO is for casuals.
Actually it's closer to 75% than 80%, but let's not nitpick. 73% of the boxing media had it for Kovalev. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&r...v-ward&usg=AFQjCNG-ZLkHQtPzd31yLBUms4Wgz3y6Jw 72% of 6000 boxing fans had it for Kovalev. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&r...v-ward&usg=AFQjCNHxF8PgkGixIg_iWJO_3jqEj5W1NA Then there was our own poll, 73% for Kovalev. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/poll-was-kovalev-vs-ward-a-robbery.576706/
Exactly! I really don't get it, how watching these power punchers KO bums is exciting. That's as exciting as watching a top sprinter lap the field against a one legged opponent and then praising the sprinter for being skilled, fast and the swiftest sprinter in the world. I guess I don't do enough alcohol or drugs to enter that strange alternative reality mindset.
Well then it's a good thing he has stacked his resume by defeating countless name fighters, top 10 ranked opponents, and former/present world titlists that will be remembered for years to come!
Mayweather was 36 when he fought a young Canelo, he almost fought a perfect fight, although he should have been at 154 and still would win.
Based on what, one fight against a guy whose power he didn't respect??? Sure he's getting older, but he hasn't shown any wear and tear yet.
