Age was DEFINITELY a factor with HOPKINS

    As most have clearly agreed, age was a factor. To say it wasn't indicates biased thinking if you ask me. Yeah, Calzaghe's pace forced Hopkins to stay on his toes for 12 rounds but Hopkins has always been able to do that for 12 rounds and have tons of energy left for the later rounds. But in this one, he was gased, which is almost shocking for Hopkins because we all know he wants to win the later rounds and finish strong. The low blows are the greatest evidence that father time did catch up to Hopkins in this fight. The mind saw the openings but the body would not follow. That's why his punching wasn't nearly as crisp as earlier in the fight. He looked sluggish late.

    when will you say that age is a factor? if hopkins is 50 or 60? a man gets caught up with father time by the age of 40 above and hopkins is clearly not the same as he is in his prime.

    Can someone make a lifetime ban bet with Blocky next time? He's already contaminating the forum again. You'd figure he'd have run off after his little fiasco in the Lounge. That was the biggest ownage I've ever seen on this forum. Anyone with a shred of dignity would've deleted their account right then.

    Did anyone say AGE was the reason why Hopkins lost the fight? Some did, but that's not what I'm implying because I don't know.

    Fact is, AGE WAS A FACTOR.

    IMO, Hopkins looked like he would have one had he had enough gas to continue fighting as well as he did in the early rounds. That being said, Calzaghe is indeed a great champion and should be commended for his tremendous effort.
