Some good scraps to look forward to (hinges on Kabayels first defence though)

My prediction is Kabayel-Gassiev unification. Kabayel is NOT fighting Rico Verhoeven because he apparently priced himself out, according to Kabayel's manager. I also don't think we'll see the Wlad fight. What proof has there been for a Wlad fight? I've seen scant evidence.

If it is Hysa, I'll be pissed, though I would be shocked since he is fighting tomorrow. If Kabayel isn't going to get the fight with Gassiev, he should fight Ajagba, Riakporhe, Sanchez (who probably won't fight since he's the mandatory for the Ituama-Hrgovic winner), or Jalolov because they are the best fighters in the WBC's top 15 who aren't busy. I guess Xhoxhaj could be thrown in as a late-replacement opponent.

Kabayel's manager explains why the Rico fight fell through:

Gassiev just said he would be available to pick up the Fury fight in New York if Joshua doesn't come to terms, so I don't see how it could be Murat.

70% it is Hysa, 20% is Miller...10% maybe, just maybe, Parker?

Fury will not fight Murat until the Joshua fight is completely off the table. Hysa, Parker, and Miller aren't in the WBC top 40, though I wouldn't put it past the WBC to sanction those fights despite that fact.

Parker needs to get a warm-up fight in, Miller is on the path of the WBA, and Hysa is fighting this weekend. Gassiev still seems the most likely.

Yes but Miller's manager there, whose name alludes me, has talked about getting him the fight. AS soon as they open up the wallet he will be ranked.

Sure, but it takes one quick glance through Miller's Instagram to see that he really wants the Gassiev fight. He's already #2 with the WBA, so does he really want to go through the hassle of getting highly ranked by the WBC?

If the Miller fight is made for Gassiev or Kabayel, I won't complain. He's definitely a good title defense for either fighter.

He's also said that Gassiev is pricing himself out.

Miller should take the deal. Gassiev is the champion, so he has a right to get some dough; unless it's 80–100% for Gassiev.

If it's unification, I don't see any other result than Kabayel by stoppage (after winning every round). Gassiev was thoroughly outboxed by 45 y.o. Pulev in rounds 1-5 and lost to Otto Wallin.

I think Vianello will be Kabayel's next opponent. I'm also read that Bakole is a possible option.

Wallin was actually quite good around the time he fought Fury. Rewatch the Fury fight and you can see he had some skills.

Now he's not even in the top 30.
