I backed Parker to beat Zhang, but it wasn't easy for him. Parker is also more proven than Kabayel at this stage (but tbh I think he gives Parker a lot of problems). I agree Zhang is overrated to a degree. But I still think he has all the tools needed to win against Kabayel.
That’s patently untrue. Parker won the fight and no proper boxing person would even try to say otherwise.
I'm surprised you would be even interested in this as a match up when on another thread you were saying about fighters being over the age of 36 at HW and using that as an argument https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...ight-top-up-and-coming-fighters.723026/page-5 In answer to the question I would pick Kabayel. I think his mobility and workrate would see him to a clear victory
Makh is terrible and barely landed on Kabayel. Kabayel is very good but he almost got knocked out by southpaw Smakici.
Surprised at how much confidence there is for Kabayel in light of him not having really fought that many live bodies. I always thought both Makhmudov and Sánchez Faure were pretty overrated when they were unbeaten.
I believe Zhang-Parker II is up next. Zhang was out of shape and too heavy for their first fight. Still had Parker down twice.
He didn't just beat those guys though, he dominated them and showed off a good skill set. He also has the clear win over prime Chisora.
