Yeah he is great, but we must not forget he is a picky fighter aswell. He dropped WBA interim to avoid Joshua or Parker (I forgot), he rejected 2 IBF orders for final eliminator to avoid Hrgovic. Right now I think Parker fight would be best, but by beating Sanchez he has become mandatory for WBC right? He can just wait out. I dont think Usyk will stay more than 2 years.
I like the guy. And I'm curious to see how he'd fare against the upper echelon contenders. It's refreshing to see a pressure fighting heavyweight who intelligently digs to the body like a young Cotto.
I agree. He has built up a decent resume for a guy who has yet to challenge for a world title. Some notable names on Kabayel's resume include; Sanchez, Makhmudov, Chisora, Johnson and Rudenko. I think Kabayel is in a similar position to what Pulev was when he was waiting for his title shot against Wlad. Very underrated fighter, other than Fury he's the only other fighter to completely shut out Chisora.
Good example how not to judge a fighter based on single fights. Smakici had him in bad trouble. Also he had a legit war with Kingpin Johnson. Anyone in the top-30 should not have the need to go to war with Kingpin Johnson.
I've rated Kabayel as a dark horse HW for years, but a lot of his obscurity was of his own making. Good to see him finally fulfilling his potential and showing the wider boxing world how good he is. Hopefully he uses this momentum to actually gun for one of the big dogs instead of just resting on his laurels and waiting for something to come to him. Side note: I'd have loved to have seen a prime Briedis and Kabayel go at it back in the day.
Kabayel barely beat Chisora lol. What are you talking about dude. Also David Haye destroyed Chisora like he was nothing.
Watch the fight again dude Chisora couldn't put a dent in Kabayel. Also Chisora and Haye was a back and forth war until Haye landed his "haymaker" punch.
Kabayel is a stylistically dangerous fighter for everyone in the division, he puts pressure on opponents and is also very good defensively, a fight with Parker would be excellent...
