All the top MMA heavyweight champs in the top two Organizations today are actually in shape.

    Werdum- UFC
    Minakov-Bellator

Not everyone looks like Tim Sylvia or Cain Velasquez.

We've seen the best of Areolla. And it was never really good enough. He's past that now. But, he's always in an interesting fight. And he's still a good name to have on any HW's resume.

Arreola's response when asked about an opportunity to fight Wilder:

"Hell no I don't deserve it, with a performance like that I don't deserve it, I'll be honest with you I don't deserve Deontay Wilder right now"

    Refreshing honesty from a boxer.

Wrong. Not everyone who picked up a sword was considered a warrior. If you attack the weak, you are still a coward.

Wouldn't say that Arreola is actually a disgrace, at least not for showing a good heart against Vitali back then, but he's surely anything close to a good representative either. He's just a joke who was being heavily pushed throughout his career despite not beating anyone of note, nor having any world class skills.

In present day, he would just serve as a cannon fodder to guys like Wilder, Joshua etc.

I look at his body and I shake my head in disgust. The guy is a "professional" boxer yet his body looks like a fat, obese fu'k. In what other sport can you be this lazy and unprofessional and still get away with it? He gives the sport a bad name.

i've never understood the hero worship that boxers get, just for putting on gloves... as if boxing gloves are kryptonite to cowards.

i think arreola is right where he deserves to be. outside the ring, he is a victim of the weaknesses in his character, but inside the ring, he gives us the best of what hes got. he entertains.
i dont seriously rate him as a threat to any crown, but i dont mind having him get fights that entertain me.

    He keeps things interesting IMO
You always think this may be the fight to get him back in line so you just hold your breath and then......exhale

He takes some brutal shots so I tip my hat to the guy:hat

Not at all. He gives his all in the ring. Is he undisciplined yes. Does that make him a disappointment yes. But no way a disgrace. His best days are behind him. He is shot now.
