I imagine ESPN + will win any Purse bid should the negotiating come for Fury Wilder 2?

Yes, I'd say so. There's a case for him having the best resume already if you (like most of us) thinks he beat Wilder.

 Fury backtracked on that fast, once Dillan said he was game.
5 bucks says Fury thought Dillian wouldn't take it, so he thought he would act high and mighty.

Fury is just full of ****. It's great that he got his life together and finally got the praise he deserved, but he is not half the man he is portraying to be.

Fury has always been my favourite modern heavyweight, but things like this are changing my mind a bit.

It could all be part of building the fight, and they're all in on it.. but assuming it's not; this is so boring.

Dillian Whyte is clearly a very good fighter in his own right and consistently tests himself in each passing fight. He has an excellent resume and some very solid wins for someone who, in my opinion, isn't quite on the same level as Wilder/Fury/Joshua.

It's difficult to blame him for taking the money, but the fallout for his ESPN deal has pushed the likelihood of fights vs Joshua/Wilder further back.

All 3 are near enough prime right now - they should have all fought eachother this year and sadly that doesn't look like it'll happen. At the very least, Fury should be fighting guys like Whyte.

True. I used to be a massive fan of Fury, and even supported him during his years in the wilderness, but between the Wilder fight and now I've gone right off him. Money, or fame, or some combination of evils has got into his brain. All of that down-to-earthedness has gone (or perhaps I just haven't noticed it because most of what he says nowadays is grade A sh**).

Yep that's basically my opinion summed up. I still like him, and I believe on talent he's the best heavyweight about. I just am so bored of his actions directly contributing to the division slowing down and all the big talk which he doesn't follow through.

It could however all be part of the game and they're all in on it - the people behind them know how to build a fight.. I really hope it's just that because it's a fight I'd like to see.

Absolutely, though if it is then it's really not whetting my appetite for the fight or the fighters. Not sure what they're all doing at the moment. So many dropped balls bouncing all over the division.

To the critics, Tyson Fury has become a victim of his own success these last 7 months.

All these people here criticizing him now, almost all of you were expecting him to get beat by Wilder last year and were saying he was insane or cashing out for even taking the fight.
Most of us, when we saw him last June against Sefer Seferi reckoned his was at least 5 fights away from any chance of facing the top guys. "1 year at least, more likely 2 years" away from being in any physical condition to take on a top 5 heavyweight.

Now, what he's done, is gone back to about the expected level of his 3rd fight back, having already done what he did against Wilder in his 3rd fight ;less than 6 months into his comeback, and he's being judged by a new standard that he set with that performance.

I'm not saying he's been unfairly judged. I'm just putting it in perspective. A year ago he wasn't even given a chance to be in contention untl around this time, or later this year. But here we are and he's being criticized for facing a soft touch who is #2 on WBO lists and being criticized for not having fought Wilder TWICE (!) n the first 12 months back from his lay-off.

As for Dillian Whyte, who knows ? Maybe they will fight this year, maybe they won't.
Whyte actually has to get past Oscar Rivas first, who might well be a tough opponent for him.

Yeah but Fury was quoted as saying:

"I want three fights this year and I am going to get three fights this year because what the Daddy wants the Daddy gets"#

So if he is already backtracking on the Dillian Whyte fight, and he won't fight Wilder/AJ.

Then who are these other fights going to consist off? Clearly taking steps backwards.

Frank is also saying that no way does the fight happen if it ain't taking place on BT Sport.

We don't know who he's going to fight.
I wouldn't write off the chances of it being Whyte.
    We don't know.

he might face 3 bums or he might face Whyte/Rivas or Parker or Pulev before the year is out. We have no idea at this stage.

That's to be expected. Is that a problem for Whyte ?

IMO Hearn and Whyte simply called Fury's bluff when Fury said he'd fight him for the 'Diamond Belt'.

It was nonsensical from the start that Fury would entertain Whyte when he could have gone straight into the Wilder rematch without having to fight an eliminator in the first place.

If the WBC don't make Whyte mandatory if he beats Rivas, then it would be an absolute joke.

Fury may very well UD Whyte if he fights him but I can't see a punishing KO

Pulled out a mandated Wilder rematch, pulled out of a mandated Whyte match.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, what is it?

Fury is one boring twat. Can't even bring myself to watch his interviews these days. I generally find, whatever he says in an interview you can normally find him saying the exact opposite within about a week elsewhere.

The fight was never on anyway, but it's lucky for Whyte that it doesn't happen
